It isn't just local radio that's dead, over the air radio in general is dead, at least as far as I'm concerned. Why listen to radio when there are a million streaming options, many with local content, available?
I still enjoy the radio. I tend to go back and forth. It's nice to have a little more variety than just what I stream. Problem is local radio has so many ads it's hard to listen to. I enjoy KGGO's 95 mins of non-stop music with no ads, after that I'm out. Omaha has a station that has very limited commercials and when I'm that way is a good listen.
