Texas Tech 10 Million Dollar Portal Season

Says one of the gullible that believe that with the way things stand right now TT wouldn't play him.

Yeah the Big 12 could put pressure on TT, but the fact is the Big 12 shouldn't have to put pressure on TT. Once the NCAA ruled he was ineligible because of gambling TT should have parted with him then, but no they doubled down and took it to court. TT right now is everything that is wrong with college sports and they keep doubling down on that because they have to win at all costs.
They may try to win "at all costs" but they don't have to. Also, define "win". Tech is almost to the point of not winning here, no matter if they win in court or not. The only way for them to win is to back down. It's probably not too late for that but they should have done so right after the NCAA ruling.

I don't have faith that the powers to be at Tech will do the right thing.

Heck, if Tech was lucky enough to win the national championship this season, it would be with a QB that was ruled ineligible by the NCAA. It would such a hollow championship that the entire country would consider it a joke.

That's why I've said Tech is so obsessed with winning this battle that they've assured they will lose the war. Talk about being short sighted...

Thinking back to how Fyre Fest ended with Ja Rule yelling “At least no one died!” on a conference call. Tech giving off similar energy.

Would this analogy mean this is Joey McGuire?

When I say win I mean winning games. Tech wants so bad to feel like they are a sports power rather than just a west Texas bastard school so they will do whatever it takes to win games.

Sorry I missed your meaning, and I agree with you. As Gentner Drummond, Oklahoma AG, wrote in a recent letter to the Big 12, "Its (Tech's) leadership has prioritized winning over sport, over honor, and over integrity." Well stated!

For the record, OU prioritized TV dollars over winning, sport, honor, and integrity

Conduct detrimental to the league. There has to be a clause in there somewhere, right?

Edit: maybe this,

A Member (a “Withdrawing Member”) may Withdraw, or shall be deemed to have Withdrawn, as a Member of the Conference: (ii) if a Supermajority of Disinterested Directors by affirmative vote determines that such Member: (D) otherwise takes or fails to take actions that are determined by a Supermajority of Disinterested Directors to be contrary to the best interests of the Conference taken as a whole.

It looks like a the Oklahoma AG agrees with me.
