It's a great sport when your team is winning, and horrible when they are struggling.
Roster is chucked full of guys that got their life changing 2nd/3rd contracts and flat out don’t give a s***. No edge or no desire to do little things correctly.
Can a switch hitter with these splits really be called a switch "hitter?" I knew it was bad but goodness Ian.
Been listening to the Loveable Reunion podcast with Rizzo and Ross. Jed has constructed the antithesis of that roster. Nico, Swanson, Bregman, all the same essentially. Great , nice guys, but no emotion or fire it seems. Tucker in the same mold. WS team had Lester, Ross, Rizzo, Lackey, etc one of which would have lost their mind already. PCA in that mold, maybe to a fault, but he seems to be the only candidate as he turns into a veteran.
Maybe it's happened behind closed doors, but it doesn't seem like it.
This team could use John Lackey telling them how ********* they are.
Agreed! This team doesn’t have that old school veteran that would just rip them a new *******. The front office failed at getting one of those guys last offseason. We had Turner last year and he seemed like a good veteran glue guy in the dugout.
So if your a Cubs fan, do you drive 5.5 hours tomorrow to watch this team play?
