Haven't turned a wheel on corn or beans yet. Still have 250 acres of NH3 to get on. I've been parked for almost three weeks. Anyway, I hope everyone gets theirs in and up. Glad to see some people are finding some dry dirt.

The goal was to start tomorrow. Now tomorrow's goal is to help 1 niece move and go see another in a play in the evening.
I didn’t plant. Ground wasn’t really ready in my area until about Wednesday and with the storms today, it gave about 12 hours of suitable planting with temps and time.
Did some work in eastern Iowa and they have almost nothing in, received too much rain
This is false. Pioneer has replant for almost any situation. You could be eligible for 100% replant depending on your situation, most people are. Replant is there for freeze, too much rain, not enough rain. Pretty much anything.
I finished beans yesterday and started corn today so I’m over half done. I’m in NW Hamilton Co
Got about 300 acres of corn in (NC Iowa). Now we have to go back and rework about 70 acres since one row decided to just randomly leave seed on the top of the soil in random spots rather than burying it. Tomorrow’s probably going to be a shop day for us.
The downforce was acting up when we planted the headlands. The best we could come up with is the gremlins in the planter made the Ag Leader think the downforce was working on that row when it actually wasn’t.
We’ve had this planter for 5 years now and are still chasing ghosts with it

What planter do you have? I had Ag Leader downforce issues a few years ago. A filter came apart in the downforce system sending pieces through the system. Plugged up a few sensors so it wouldn’t work on random rows. Had to flush it out. Was a pain and took some time. Didn’t put a filter back in it and has worked great ever since.

Also not familiar what each components function does nor what type of planter these parts are added to?
This winter coming up. I want my dad to start pushing towards more precise seeding to improve ROI.
We were having some very spirited conversations (busch light and ****** ag economy aided) about having to buy a 100k planter to get this level of accuracy and precision. YOU DONT

Started planting corn on the 21st and got two days in, it's been too wet. It's rained every week in April including last night. I delivered last year's corn on a basis contract which was rolled yesterday for 2 cents, priced by the end of June. The contract holder stated that he expected the market to react to wet conditions delaying planting and from what I read on here, it is impacting conditions statewide.
One Amish man using seven draft horses disced and planted 30 acres oats Wednesday and Thursday before the rain.
8-14 day forecast from NWS takes rain out. Puts cool temps all the way to the gulf. Frost on the corn?
