Audi Crooks to Transfer

Ok I’ll say it. What school is going to pay her 1M? I don’t see the value, I know she’s beloved in this state and she has some good markability but I have a hard time believing a team will fork over a M for her.
I’m not sure on value either, but she’s listed as the best player in the portal by most reporters/sites l

I truly believe that scouts told her if she wants to make it in the pros, she needs to go somewhere that will enhance her skills.

They don’t look at her defense, just those eye popping offensive numbers.

Coaches and GMs see the defense. Audi will get offers from high major programs, but I don’t see a million in her future. Her NIL starts all over.

Are there any other 2nd team All-Americans in the portal to compare her to?

Never doubt how stupidly some people spend their money just to show everyone how much money they have.

Iowa State All-America center Audi Crooks showed interest in Notre Dame as well, but the Irish were not interested in her reported price tag, per a source and rumors that she planned to visit with Brown were never in the works.

The nation’s No. 2 scorer (25.8 ppg) and No. 1 player in the portal is asking for $1 million, per sources. In fact, most experienced true post players on the high end have an asking price of $750,000 to $1 million.
For pretty much any program, that price means you can't afford any other impact players. And we've already seen what that looks like. Good luck to the team that’s willing to pay this.

For anyone who recognizes the reality of where WBB lands in the NIL hierarchy, they’d be irresponsible to pay one player this much unless it was the final piece to allow them to compete with the top 4. Even then, you’re still losing money.

But none of this is about rational action…

I'm compelled to mention (from a few pages ago) that PER among ball-knowers is considered a rather weak metric for assessing a player's value and effectiveness.

I’m happy to take the body shot - others had pointed out the limitations previously. I cited it to support an opinion and PER is readily available. Access to more comprehensive statistical models requires a subscription. What do you suggest which is readily accessible?

They are already paying Hildago that much can't have 2 million dollar players.

Seen Audi play a few times and she is not going to take a team to the next level. Not sure why anyone would pay her a million dollars. I would rather spend my money on a few players if I were a coach
