MLB: ***2026 Minnesota Twins***

Minnesota Twins ace Pablo Lopez likely will need season-ending Tommy John surgery after being diagnosed with a significant tear in the ulnar collateral ligament of his right elbow, general manager Jeremy Zoll said Tuesday.

Zoll said Lopez, who ended a bullpen session Monday because of soreness after throwing two-plus innings, will be getting a second opinion before deciding whether to have surgery.

First day of full team workouts…aaand the season’s over. I wonder if he was ramping up faster than usual for the WBC and that’s what caused it.

Lol why not? Good grief.

The 2026 season was over already after the Twins gutted the team at the 2025 trade deadline. They have 17 home games in the warm and balmy month of April.... they won't draw more than 5000 per game.

Sixteen Ks by the Twins patchwork pitching staff today to get their first win of ‘26.
Royce and Buxton with nice days at the plate.

Twins have third worst attendance in major leagues ahead of the Sacramento A’s and Marlins.

I'm surprised they are ahead of anyone. Butts in seats has got to be dead last. Weather for them has been brutal though. The had one day where the high was 52 and sunny. Every other game has been between 37 and 43 (for a high, worse if it was a night game) and cloudy. That is awful weather to sit through a ball game.

Looks like they have a pulse, though, so if thehy can keep it up, that could help.
