There's not been enough hype around Tirrell. He should have a massive season, and I believe has 2 years to play.

Defense should be really good. LB is probably the biggest unknown.
I think that we'll be fine on defense. They have a good scheme, kept a majority of the coaches and brought players with them. That WSU team had Ole Miss on the ropes. My question is on the offense. We all know Raynor can play. But after that? They pieced together an OL from P5 backups, G6, FCS and D2 stars. WR, RB and TE we lost pretty much everyone and didn't hit a bunch of home runs in the portal. Not to mention, the offensive staff is all new to each other. I feel like we're going to see a lot of Raynor running around and making plays, but the learning curve there is pretty steep.

I'm definitely looking forward to see what kind of team we field next year, but I'm absolutely not going to drink the koolaid this summer. My buthole has been sunburned too many times.
Drink up.

We'll see how it goes and honestly a season is a long process as things ebb and flow but I get more of a 'just do the ****ing thing like we practiced and expect' vibe which imo is a good fit in the current era.
Jimmy seems to be what we need

The base is disappointed and angry at the fringes

Don't feed us a line. Play ******* football. Win games
I think JR is a good fit for us, and he and his coaches are likable, energetic, and seem to know what they are doing. Players seem to like and repect Rogers and his system, and that's a good thing. It is super interesting to see how this team was assembled and is now coming together.

Time will tell how this all plays out and the first year will hopefully be exciting and fun to watch. I don't see any inferior or losing mentality. Many of the coaches and players have been winners. We will lose our share this year, and that shoud be expected, but there is a level of competition and excitement in the Cyclone football air. I'm hoping over time this staff and the recruited players (both now and in the future) will coach and play hard, represent ISU well, and hopefully will surprise some people.
