So my daughter lives in LA and was selected in the lottery for local residents to buy tickets to various events, so we were looking at going to some events but man the prices are crazy.

T&F - $600 each
Tennis - $1000 each
Opening Ceremonies - $3000 - $5000 each
Beach VB - $28
Gymnastics - sold out
Swimming - $500

Is that just for the men's beach volleyball?

That'd me my luck.

We were just on a call with the daughter and she was on the site to buy tickets reading us the prices for each.

If you like golf (I don't) that was pretty cheap at $28

That's awesome, good for you guys. I'd be all over T&F and beach VB. Swimming would be cool to see too. Surprised tennis is more than swimming and T&F.

These aren’t the prices on the secondary market? I thought they claimed there would be a ton of “affordable” tickets to most events.

No it's a lottery presale that is only supposed to be open to local residents,

Are the local presales more premium seats do you think? But I guess the events you have listed are some of the most popular/sought after tix so probs in that top 25% price point.

“LA28’s programme will include 1m tickets priced at $28, the lowest price point. Roughly 5% of the Olympic tickets will cost over $1,000, while more than 75% of all tickets, including finals, will be under $400 and nearly 50% of all tickets will be under $200.”

Yeah not sure. I was fine paying a few hundred a ticket even for nose bleeds but the prices we are seeing are nuts.

IF I were to go to the Olympics, I'd want to see the flag football... since this might be the one and only time it's ever an Olympic sport.

Is track like each day or the whole set?

Maybe their selling 1M tickets to beach volleyball. A lot of standing room only.;)

Very interested to see the set up for swimming in SoFi. Supposedly will set the record with 40,000 capacity.
So are they setting everything on top of the field or taking the field out to make a temporary venue?
