Artemis 2 Launch - Going Back to the Moon

There's more than the heat shield that could go wrong. I have some real concerns about this mission. Starting with this is only the 2nd launch of this system and they've got people on it. Also a chance something doesn't work right on the capsule in LEO and they scrap the transfer to the moon.

IDK maybe I am just so used to the SpaceX "fail fast" style of blowing stuff up, that I am not shifted to the NASA way of test-test-test first.
Thats why they are checking things out in low earth orbit before doing the TLI burn to commit to the moon. The TLI burn is scheduled for arourd 7 pm iowa time thursday night.

Ok, someone get me amped up for this. My mind is stuck on we are not walking on the moon - what nerdy aspects of this is helping generate interest for y'all?

Testing new technology that hopefully makes it easier to land on the moon again in the future. Make that as "easy" as it is to get to the ISS and s*** is on.
