Off-season 2026; Roster Needs/Portal

I’m not sure how much value that holds. The right offer, and chance to be coach in waiting at Iowa would be very enticing and enough to put away some grudges.

I don’t know if there is any truth to the rumor or not, but I don’t think past statements would sway me that there is no smoke there.
I talked to him for about an hour one night at a golf outing. Honestly, was shocked that he didn't get pulled away in another direction.

Anyways, he said he'd been kicked out of the circle and after he got away, he saw how cult like it is. A lot if other things said that didn't really lead me to believe there was a whole lot of relationship there. But, time does heal a lot of wounds....maybe they're buddies again.

Have you ever seen the documentary on flo about Brent? He doesn’t have much to say about their relationship in that but you’d think the brands would be accepting of him. Now of course this documentary was several years ago so I’d assume it has changed

I will say at the time I talked to him, Brent thought their relationship ran deeper than wrestling. Apparently TnT didn't feel the same way.

Listen, I'm iowa state first and foremost and want them to do what it takes to compete for Natties....

However, does anyone else see the irony in the wrestling world banding together a few years ago to save Stanford wrestling...only for schools with more desire and prestigious programs to cherry pick Stanford's top talent and steal them away?
And yes, it's eat or be eaten...but the current state of college athletics is ridiculous.

I don’t disagree. I believe that transfer rules need to change where you get 1 freebie as an undergrad and then if you graduate you should be able to transfer as a reward for earning your degree. With these Stanford kids, they all earned their degree, so I am fine with them looking to make some extra money or go to a place where wrestling is more important to the school/community than Stanford. However, the transfer portal is still brutal and it will be an interesting day tomorrow for the entire college wrestling community

Really sucks for Stanford

Anyone know why all the Stanford guys are leaving? Not surprised at all lots of big programs want those guys, but really seems like they have something going there. Why do they want out?

Stanford has plenty of money to keep them if they wanted to
