I'm so happy that brokedick Iowa team finally lost. Their obnoxious hick fans already aren't going to shut the **** up about this season for the next 30 years. Unprecedented levels of insufferableness would have been reached had they trundled ass-backwards into a Final Four.

This. Just a complete torture chamber of a 1st 2 weeks for the NCAA tourney. The only good thing is it is at least "good" to know (in terms of "knowing" where your enemies are) just how many insufferables were able to creep out of the sewers in just a matter of days. That hive mind virus is hard to describe. It is hard to really fathom sometimes how many are secretly out there, on top of the very loud and awful ones.

With that said, good season. A bit of a charmed run in the tourney. How?

Clemson......not a real good team that wasn't 100% healthy. Doesn't matter Iowa took care of them.

Florida......should never have been a one seed but doesn't matter still a very good team and probably beats Iowa 8 of 10 times. However, to their credit Iowa kept it close and won it at the end. Good win.

Nebraska and Illinois...............you have to be kidding me. Two teams from your conference that takes no prep. You beat Nebby in January or February.........good win. In the tourney, it's headlines. Why, sweet sixteen. Finally ran into an Illinois team that just had too much.

In a one off anything can happen. They made the best of what was handed to them.

Super weird, if not obsessive flex… I’ve been over here on and off again since conference tournaments I have yet to see Iowa fans say anything that is particularly offensive or over the top about Iowa or the Big 10….yikes.

Arizona has been a #1 seed 8 times. They went to the Final Four in 1988 when they were seeded #1. They missed the Final Four the next seven times they were seeded #1. That streak will end as well.

So were they overrated, the worst 1 seed ever, played in weak conferences….what gives’?!

Yeah, Tennessee took away our pick and roll and locked onto Milan. Without JJ, that did us in. Let's see if Barnes can figure out a magic formula to also shut down a full strength Michigan the same way.

I don’t think that there’s any way that TN wins. They really don’t have much offensive skill. Michigans height negates their one strength which is rebounding missed shots.

I’ll add, I have said for sometime Zona was the best team and after that incredible ISU game, I was convinced. I fully expect them to win & I struggle trying to envision being so upset if a Big12 team won.

There are honestly only two teams left I don’t want to win & that’s Duke & UCONN & when I used to piss & moan about it, I considered myself obsessive….so I quit. Just sayin’

Texts to me from Iowa fans last night were heavy for about 2/3rds of the game. I didnt watch the second half but could tell what happened when the texts dried up. I never text Hawkeye fans during ISU games. Not sure why they always love to yap about them doing well to ISU. They do shut up quick though when they lose. Almost like it never happened. Why the in state rivals threads have collapsed on this board.

Hawkeye fans are really good at pretending losses didn't happen.

We in Cyclone fandom prefer to dwell and fixate on our losses for years.

One of the major differences between the fanbases I've noticed over my 28 years of adulthood.

I had a text last night from an out of state Illini fan saying "Good Game" with a screenshot of the final score. I responded back: "Yea!" "Go Illini!" Not sure if he thought I was an Iowa fan and poking me or an ISU fan who would appreciate it! Either way, it made me smile out loud!

I find people outside the Midwest who aren't particularly into sports struggle to distinguish between Iowa State, Iowa, and Ohio State.
