WBB: 2026 Transfer Portal

I love Stacy Frese and I’ll gladly take her kid and hope she does great things for Iowa State but to think someone who averaged 8 ppg, 1 assist, and 1 rebound for the second worst team in the MoValley is going to come in and be better than the likes of any of the guards we’re losing is fooling themselves.
Amen.

EP not being in the outgoing group is interesting to me. She didn’t get a lot of usage when Addy was playing and wouldn’t have a particular loyalty to us.

Have you seen what they charge to go to school. They should be able to allot enough money to keep things going. Women's basketball is by far the most watched Women's sport.
In today’s world it’s not about most watched women’s sport, it’s about honoring Title IX

You can cite defensive liability and it is true, but it just isn't true that she doesn't get back. Audi's defensive assignment rarely scored in the break and we rarely got a rebound before she was down there in position. The lack of trying to close out on jumpshots is real, but your post has zero truth.
Zero & rarely are inaccurate extremes as well. Our defense had to compensate by having Addy or another player plant in the paint to cover opposing posts until Audi got her spot. That was going to leave an opposing player open.

But I felt out defense handled those "transition" situations pretty well. Felt our defensive issues arose in half court in putting pressure on the ball and forcing turnovers.

But Audi is the Audi that Bill recruited. It had to be very clear that her quickness was going to be a weakness at the college level. Just don't think the staff has figured out over 3 years how to mask Audi's defensive liabilities.

No insider information on this, but I wonder if EP has been guaranteed a starting spot even prior to all of this happening.

She slid into the starting rotation after we lost 4 straight after AB went down and provided an instant spark and then had the injury.

The 4 remaining happened to go 4-1 when they were in the starting lineup together, including a win at Texas Tech.

After last night’s men’s disappointment, I assume we will hear today that Audi is leaving

Everyone is over thinking the situation.
If I had worked as hard on my game as Addy and Jada I would want to be on a team that sees me as more than an assist-maker. I would also want to be on a team that can make a run in March. This formula with Audi did not work and will not work.
Women's basketball has improved too much, defense matters, athleticism matters, strategy matters.
Also with the new agreement signed the WNBA is paying more money. These girls SHOULD be thinking about their own futures, because this coaching staff was not.

Not sure why so many here ***** about the offense and its focus on Audi. She is clearly one of the most efficient high level scorers in the HM ranks. And both Jada and Addy had 40 point games playing with Audi IIRC.

Now if you want to ***** about the defense and the staff's inability to cover for Audi's lack of mobility, have at it.

Audi doesn't have to be a good defensive player.....she just has to be not terrible and some games it was pretty bad.

She might be a little tired from catching and saving bad passes when double and triple covered and then trying to score
