I’ll preface this with the fact I’m drunk, it’s late, and we just got back to our hotel. This was supposed to be OUR year to shine. WE had the talent and coaching. Instead, the @&#$ing squawks and their first year head coach waltz right in and make the Elite 8 with a fraction of the talent we have!! Seriously, what a @&#$ing kick to the nuts. One of our best teams ever outshined by a bunch of scrubs from Drake and whatever other division 2 school they pull “talent” from at Iowa. Screw this.

Go Illinois!!

Weird things happen in the tournament, including a sprained ankle in a meaningless game that changes a team's trajectory.

I'm not happy that Iowa's still in it, but the tournament doesn't always have the best teams there at the end, just the ones that catch lightning in a bottle for a couple weeks.

Some days you're the pigeon, some days you're the statue.

So what you're telling us is maybe we don't have the coaching?
Never said that. I’m saying I’m pissed because we have the better talent and coaching, but somehow a first year coach with a roster like that is in the elite 8 and we’re not.

For those of you who hate Iowa so much I have a suggestion: put money on them. It’s honestly the only thing I use the sports betting app for anymore. It doesn’t make me cheer for them, but definitely takes some of the sting out of having to listen to their blowhard fans when they have success.

The moral of the story is that every successful year at Iowa State is always going to end sooner than anyone wants. Probably from some random kick in the sack like an injury. I hate it but it continues to happen.

Iowa is playing really well right now and we got a ***** break with Jefferson’s ankle. It is what it is. The bitterness towards Iowa is silly in my view.

Alot of my Iowa fan friends spent alot of you year complaining about Iowa. Now they win 3 straight and McCollum is a god. Basketball is just a crazy sport in that way.

Iowa has a once in a generation point guard. We will see how good they will be without him next year.

From what I saw even though they didn't have any great wins, they had a veteran group familiar with their coach and were solid overall and could hang with many teams with how they play. Then it's a few possessions and those have gone their way lately.

I think they've also had guys start hitting that didn't do much prior which helps.
