At some point Milan has to be the guy. He has crashed out every single year when in the final game of the season when he is needed most. It’s unreal.

Much of that had to with the opponents' ability to effectively slow down everyone else.

Like Batemon couldn't get a look tonight, and finding much inside was tough.

I’m guessing Josh would have had about 12 points and 10 boards. With the way they would have collapsed on him in the paint his assist number may have been high as well. This far into the tournament not many teams can afford to lose an All American

I hope you’re right, but assuming that all of those guys are back in this day and age is tough to do. I hope they are.

And we usually get dominated in the sweet 16. Illinois 2 years ago was close in the end, but even then they controlled the game against us.

We've rallied in most of them to make them respectable but most of the time teams have had their way with us.

A recurring theme with this program

ISU did a good job staying this close. Buchanan was just overmatched on the boards without Jefferson. I'm actually amazed that your team beat Kentucky. It's just damned bad luck that you didn't have JJ because with him I think you might well have won this game tonight. That's just one of the things about basketball: luck ALWAYS plays a big part.

ISU has no reason to hang its head over this year. Going forward, you've got the best coach in the conference and you had a very good year. What is more, I am sure ISU will do very well next year. Congratulations on getting as far as you did in the face of tremendous adversity. Your team showed a tremendous and very admirable amount of skill and heart.
