***Official 2026 NCAA Tournament Thread***

In the 1st half of Iowa-NE game there was no stoppage of play to have the 16-minute TV TO until under 11 minutes to go, so they took 2 consecutive TV TOs for commercials with 11 or just under minutes to go in the 1st half. The 20 minute start time was eaten up right there
The Purdue game was the opposite, Arizona ended upstarting 30 minutes later. One game went long, the other fast. That would be pretty hard to predict but you also have to error for a game going longer than expected. Probably shouldn't have tipped off Iowa/Nebby until 7.

So seriously, what am I hearing about Neb having 4 players on the floor? Seriously didn’t watch the game. What happened?

One of Nebby's guys was getting selfish...

Two games tipping off at the same time is so dumb.

The 20 minute start time was eaten up right there
And they went to monitor like 147 times in the Texas-Purdue game...

It's crazy to me that #1 seed Florida would have had to play a road game had they met Houston in the Elite 8. What kind of **** is that by the committee?

"I'm tired of losing to teams we're better than." Among other things.

Ignorant comment for sure & id have said it out loud on the Iowa board. Maybe I did, I don’t even remember how long ago that was, 10 years now?

But again, I’m pretty certain that, that’s probably happened by an Iowa State player too. I just don’t take things like that all that serious anymore and I will call it out for any team whether I like the team or not.

Hear me out: Iowa is going to get their TJ.

TJ was a coach many Cyclones were afraid would get the job initially.

After stints at two other schools (and a coaching hire whose tenure ISU fans would rather forget), TJ convinced many Cyclone fans he would deliver the results we wanted.

Who fits that description perfectly as the next Iowa coach if McCollum leaves for UNC?

Darian DeVries, that’s who.

It is destiny.
DeVries is a huge downgrade from McCollum. DeVries won at Drake with his kid that was a high recruit and some P5 fallback transfers in the ****** Valley.

After they fired Fran I was hoping Iowa would get DeVries and not McCollum.

What would you have proposed instead? Houston was the top 2, so they got the closest region. Florida was the last 1, so they got last "choice" of regions.
