I'd be stunned if she would even want it. She's got a really good gig being TJ's wife.Alison Lacey

Comito, Tanke, K. Joens, AJ Jackson, Feuerbach, Aubrey Joens, Ashley Joens, Buckley, Christofferson, Poppens and Zimmerman all played for AIA.
Any recent recruiting from AIA has been stifled to some extent due to Bill's known lame duck status in recruiting circles. Comito being an exception due to her legacy ISU status.
Bill's replacement (whenever that is) will certainly create a relationship with AIA if they haven't already.
Plus having to fire her later on if things go wrong could make TJ leave.Lacey's coaching experience consists of 1.5 years at a community college, over 10 years ago, where the team went 22-37.
Great Cyclone of course but hiring someone with that background to be your Big 12 head coach would be AD malpractice.
I have my heart set on a young female coach, but we could do worse than Chris Kielsmeier. He graduated from Iowa State in 1999, so he'd be 49 or 50 now. He's worked his way up thru the ranks, winning big at all levels - the man has over 500 career wins. I've watched quite a few Cleveland State games this season since Izzy Zingaro is there, and he has a nice way about him - seems to relate well to the kids and handles pressure situations. His two stars this year are both grad-transfers, Zingaro and Colbi Maples. He recruits internationally (pretty shooting guard from Spain this year) and his rosters exhibit year-to-year "churn", meaning he uses the portal well. It appears CK makes $240,000 with some modest bonuses, and his buyout is $25,000.Chris Kielsmeier from Cleveland State.
Just ask TJ to coach both.I'd be stunned if she would even want it. She's got a really good gig being TJ's wife.
Yeah, if we were to come up with a dozen or so reasonable choices (not never-gonna-happen options like Baranczyk, Brenda Frese, Lacey, etc), he would definitely be on there with Kayla Karius, Aaron Johnston, Jory Collins, etc. All are successful coaches who could get a significant pay raise at ISU while still being relatively inexpensive. Molly Miller already makes around what Bill made, so she'd likely require more than we'd like to pay.I have my heart set on a young female coach, but we could do worse than Chris Kielsmeier.
His records are good - he could have been a hot commodity but who knows why he is still there.I have my heart set on a young female coach, but we could do worse than Chris Kielsmeier. Hire her as a special assistant to the Defensive Coordinator for Bill's last year and have TJ shadow run their defense.Plus having to fire her later on if things go wrong could make TJ leave.
Not gonna happen. She coached 1 year at Marshalltown CC with an 11-20 recird before her and TJ had kids. They now have 3 kids, oldest 11 or 12 so no way that both TJ and Allison will coach the same seasons during basketball. Just not gonna happen regardless of how cool it sounds.Alison Lacey
You chastized A poster for talking to a college age girl in a bar but you then post about a "pretty shooting guard from Spain"........I have my heart set on a young female coach, but we could do worse than Chris Kielsmeier. Postscript: Anybody who wants to watch Chris Kielsmeier and Izzy Zingaro can see them tonight in the WNIT, 630pm CST versus Middle Tennessee State.
Aaron Johnston is fantastic but he's not leaving SDSU at this point. He's been there 30 years at this point and he's a lifer there.Yeah, if we were to come up with a dozen or so reasonable choices (not never-gonna-happen options like Baranczyk, Brenda Frese, Lacey, etc), he would definitely be on there with Kayla Karius, Aaron Johnston, Jory Collins, etc. All are successful coaches who could get a significant pay raise at ISU while still being relatively inexpensive. I don't disagree. I'm sure he's gotten offers.Aaron Johnston is fantastic but he's not leaving SDSU at this point. He's been there 30 years at this point and he's a lifer there.

Her abd TJ will not be coaching High Major Basketball at the same time with small kids. Was it malpractice to hire a former player with zero coaching experience for the Men's basketball HC position? Cause that guy did pretty good, from what I recall.
Has she spent a decade in an NBA front office? Was it malpractice to hire a former player with zero coaching experience for the Men's basketball HC position? Cause that guy did pretty good, from what I recall.
Everyone forgets about Kathleen Doyle, who won B1G POY for Iowa in 2020.I would argue only post players in terms of development.
