Seems to me it’s up to Audi. You hopefully have kept a top 6, if the freshman is up to handling the PG. There aren’t the coffers to really compete for top players, sounds like. So find the ones who like a big crowd to play hard in front of. Personally, I think Audi has improved her mobility and defense, and could continue to. If she wants a pro career, she has it all in front of her. Maybe she even has the leverage to hire a new coach to that end. It’s her time to call a tune. HC and AD await her choice.

I don’t disagree - but timing didn’t work out for Iowa job and now she has had great success at Oklahoma with very strong resources and compensation.

Question is — what coach has a strong Iowa State connection that would work now? It’s not Brenda as Maryland compensates her well…. Ezell? Lacey? (just dreaming on this one) as her husband is a pretty good coach :))…

Jan had a very good year this year with the team too 10 most of the year.

And no one can question her player development skills over her career (especially post players). And each of the past two years, she has brought in a top 20 national recruit to Iowa both this year and for next year. She is a very good coach (recruiting, retention, development, in game).
I would argue only post players in terms of development.

What Attack players of significance have we gotten the last 10 years? We had one of the premier AAU teams in our back yard, and basically zilch from them.

More importantly, not sure about Clark’s recruitment, but she was right in our backyard and as much as we don’t like it, was generational player. Not sure if we were in the running, but that’s a player that you need to get.

So not sure the AAU stuff should mean much since we g he ave really benefited from it.
My thoughts exactly about Attack. If anything maybe a new person can actually create a mutually beneficial relationship with them? I'm also hearing Attack is starting to lose some credibility slowly but surely.

I don’t actually think she is affiliated with Attack or has been. I think she’s been doing her own private training thing for quite a few years.

Anyway Attack has not been a pipeline to ISU.

You just get the best coach.

Do you even watch women's games on a regular basis? Are you a season ticket holder?
I've watched their games on a regular basis until this year. The product that was on the floor this year was so pitiful, i stopped watching midway through the season, watched again in the big 12 tourney, then again in the women's march madness. the product was pitiful the whole year

Well if someone wants to buddies with the guy that runs it, good luck. Going to a camp once there and seeing scream and swear at 12 year old girls is quite a site. Maybe he’s hands off as an owner now. I see he was also throwing a fit that he was having to pay property taxes at their new location in Waukee or WDM.

Attack has not sent anybody to Iowa State. Any tie to that club should be disregarded as a reason to do anything.

10 years ago Attack was the only game in town. They got basically every elite player in a 6 hour radius. There are just way more clubs now.

Dickson Jensen has not helped ISU WBB since they did not recruit his daughters. Since that time he has not been a friend to the program.

Who are people looking for to replace BF? Allison Pohlman, Jennie Baranczyk? I can't see JB leaving OU not sure about AP and Drake. Does Heather Ezell have enough experience? Do we go back to the UNLV well with Lindy La Rocque assuming she would move.

Comito, Tanke, K. Joens, AJ Jackson, Feuerbach, Aubrey Joens, Ashley Joens, Buckley, Christofferson, Poppens and Zimmerman all played for AIA.

Any recent recruiting from AIA has been stifled to some extent due to Bill's known lame duck status in recruiting circles. Comito being an exception due to her legacy ISU status.

Bill's replacement (whenever that is) will certainly create a relationship with AIA if they haven't already.

LOL it will be pulling someone from the next tier lower the uw greenbay, SDSU NDSU type schools no reason to spend a million dollars on a HC on a sport that ruptures money like the titanic after it hit the iceberg.

Hell, Tanya Warren has shown over and over she can produce competitive teams without resources and she's been looking at other opportunities outside Cedar Falls for the last couple of years. You could do a lot worse.

I like her but not interested in hiring someone who is going to retire again shortly

And she fits in that tier of schools that I'm alluding to. IF this turns into a coaching search. I don't have a name to suggest or a clue who we would hire. That is what Jamie is paid for.
