WBB: 2026 Transfer Portal

Can you sum it up in a couple sentences?
Defended the coaches(put no blame on them)... blamed money for everything.
Example: did we really underachieve this season? Based on how we don't spend as much as other schools.

They did admit that they are super biased about wbb.

That alone discredits the entire "conversation" they just had.

At this specific point in time, you can not say money is the issue. 4 of your 6 losses were the last 4 pieces on the bench, so any money they were making can be recycled. Beatty can probably be replaced fairly easily.

Brown is the only one who I think could probably make more elsewhere for NIL.

The "money" excuse is weak and lazy. Good coaches can still coach despite not having the money to spend.

Not true. There is some truth to it. Example: we spend 750k on NIL and say 4 million on tital operations we make the NCAA tourney and lose in the first game.

Team B spends 1 mil in NIL and 5 mil in operatins and dies not make the NCAA.

Results matter but so does ability to spend in the NIL world.

Thank you for saving me the time. :)

I thought it might be a realistic look at the state of things.

Very true to an extent. NIL is different, 18-22 year old kids and those (agents) who also get paid 9 out of 10 times will chase the money, no matter who's coaching.

Sadly, it really comes down to....do you want to give up (example) a linebacker or a shooting guard for TJ or give WBB money? Just reality right now.

Good. Then go find players that want to play and that just aren't in it for the money. Unfortunately that would require the coaches to "work" and coach instead of just collecting their checks and ******** about money.

You think they are not? Your prerogative, I just do not think it is that simple. To each their own.

Doesn't Bill have a "lifetime" contract? I've always understood that to be a case where it is next to impossible to fire him. If not any idea what his buyout is?
