I bet other teams' fans and players really don't like Heise.

I’ve watched Iowa State a lot, but not enough to find him irritating… But as I told someone on this very bored sometime ago, don’t tell me about how much you hate said player from a rival, because every team has had lots of players that other fan bases can’t stand. I’ve tried to take a different approach to this kind of scenario…. Our teams are generally better with at least one of those players.

JJ or not, this game was always going to be about ISU guards harassing and disrupting UK backcourt into TO and other mistakes and that's exactly what happened.

College basketball more than any other level is a guards game.

Had an emergency surgery for a 5 millimeter kidney stone. Great thing to wake up to.

Good for you !!! That is a nice thing to wake up to. I’ll give you an anecdotal story about kidney issues. Not trying to steal your thunder here of course but I went to the hospital about six months ago thinking I potentially had a kidney stone and I was in excruciating pain. As a side story and an indication of my general Iowa farm boy bred stupidity. I’d been pissing blood for a couple weeks and decided not to go to the doctor.

Well, the good Lord said hey that’s not gonna work….. so I’m in the emergency room with more pain than I really honestly ever remember having. And they’re running tests and they’re still not on top of the pain, I’ve got my eyes closed, just trying to compartmentalize it. Because it’s so bad…

The doctor comes in and says hey Mr. McCleary you’ve got a 10 centimeter mass on your kidney.

And I don’t remember a lot about that visit because I was so jacked up with drugs for several days because of the pain. I don’t remember a whole lot of what I talked to anybody about, but I remember telling him that sounds awful but quite frankly, I can’t hardly function right now. I can’t comprehend anything because I'm in so much pain….

All that to say, I pray things go well for you

Meh….. as a lifelong fan that had visited lots of message boards. That’s not an Iowa fan thing.. I’ve seen similar things over here. It’s what bitter fans do… The message is try not to be bitter yourself.

Anyone that knows anything about TJ, and I’m not president of his media club by any stretch incidentally. But outside of a situation like what happened with Campbell and Jamie he wants badly to be an Iowa State coach. I actually know some people that get good information from the inner workings of the cyclone kingdom. The NIL situation snd JPs management has certainly been an issue but TJ ain’t going anywhere.

Mmmm, not so sure about that. I think the ones that aren’t constantly pissed off about their rival, you know that doesn’t happen over here. Are pretty impressed with TJ and pretty happy with their own coaches ll the same.

Time to refocus for sure. The next game will likely be with a team somewhat well coached. I'm still amazed how absolutely lost Kentucky looked 90% of that game. I realize most of it was because of ISU but still. They really didn't even look good when they built that lead.

That's all they are left with, because they know how good TJ and the Cyclones are. It really is pathetic.

Sure, it would be if it was an Iowa fan thing, but it isn’t….those fans are here, there & everywhere. In my opinion, it’s not even worth bringing up… And historically, I’ve noticed the ones that do are generally just more of the same from the other side.
