***2026-27 Mens College Basketball Thread***

Which player would you say had the better year?

Player A
16.9 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 4.9 apg, 47.0 FG%, 34.5 3pt%, 1.7 spg, 0.9 bpg

Player B
14.6 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 3.2 apg, 50.9 FG%, 35.3 3pt%, 1.2 spg, 1.3 bpg
Who’s B? Some b hole from a blue blood who is barely the best player on his own team?

Also, steals are about 200% more valuable than blocks.

President Ford called us Ohio State once.
I was there. This is 100% true. The crowd were all uncomfortably mumbling for a second.

He must have got something in his earpiece.

It was Football season and he went for the save, "Sorry, IOWA State. We Michigan alumni have Ohio State on our minds right now" or similar.

First team AA Lendeborg for Michigan

Every steal results in a change of possession. I don't know what the percentages are for blocks but I bet it's close to 50-50.
Less than 50-50.

1/3 of the time they go out of bounds. And the other 2/3 are typically a 5 on 4 advantage for the offense on recovering it as the blocker typically doesn’t gather his own.

@FriendlySpartan Does this happen with MSU? It seems so unbelievable that these professionals continue, year after year, to do this.
Sometimes it happens but not often and people usually catch themselves. Think it’s why so many people just use the mascot when taking MSU though.

What did happen constantly was people calling Dantonio “Dantoni” as in the NBA coach at the time. That happened so often that it became a common jab by Michigan fans

Dantonio wasn't exactly looking to score touchdowns in seven seconds or less.

Brutal draw for Nebraska, first game on Thursday. All Troy has to do is muddy the thing up and nervousness creeps in. Hoiberg needs to get ahold of himself, I can already feel it. The kid will be a key leader this week.

formula for them is similar to Iowa State, if they come out and get pushed around a little it won't be easy to snap out of a funk. Iowa State sort of snapped out of it against Illinois two seasons ago, but it was too little too late, and that team had way more skill than Nebraska. If I had to bet, though, Nebraska will dial up pressure and Troy will cough it up a bunch

Anyone excited for tonight’s games at all? The MCSU vs UT game seems interesting on paper, but I don’t feel like it’ll impact the actual tournament at all.

If UT struggles, it will mean a bad omen for the SEC, which is good.

First round NIT, Okie State down 10 at home to Davidson at the half. Cowboys without 3 player who broke team rules: Roy 17.2 ppg, Miller 10.9, and Coleman 6.5.

I don’t know that ISU and Nebraska are very similar. Nebraska is more dependent on 3s falling. They don’t really have an inside game. If Sandfort struggles, they’re gonna lose.

Yes, was just saying their defense also jumpstarts their offense

Barkley doing color for Texas nc st is gold. Speaking the truth like chuck always does. That guy is the best.
Entertaining on some twisted way. But he shouldn’t have been doing color. For Pete’s sake, at the end of the game he asked if you could advance the ball to half court in the college game. It was like listening to three drunks in a bar while watching a game on mute on the background. Too much talking and too many people on the broadcast.
