*** 2025-26 ISU WBB Season Thread ***

With all of the power conferences playing last week, the top 50 in the NET has been basically unchanged since Sunday.

The only exceptions are a handful mid-majors:
Richmond 37 (needs At-Lg)
Princeton 38 (playing for Ivy title today)
South Dakota State 39 (AQ)
James Madison 45 (AQ)
North Dakota State 47 (needs At-Lg)
Rhode Island 49 (AQ)

The only thing left to determine is the order of the mid- and low-major AQs on the 12-16 lines. 8 title games today, 4 tomorrow.

Well the Big 12 as a whole was pretty down this year

Did NOT expect an 8 seed after the Big 12 Tournament, honestly was hoping to drop to a 10 seed to avoid UCONN.

Every 8/9 in women's basketball is a sacrifice. Let's just hope we get that first round win so we can face UConn. The only thing we can hope for is another David and Goliath moment like we had when Mo was on the team. That team had its "one shining moment" so maybe there's hope?

I'll be doing a writeup tomorrow about the tournament...there are some head scratchers for seeds in this one.

#8 seeds were more than fair and pretty much spot on accurate with all of the metrics.

You want to be the best, you have to beat the best! ISU suffered thru a disappointing season and gets the opportunity to reshape the narrative. You can’t ask for more.
