Horrible match there.
I get trying to work for the turn but basically conceded the loss.
Jacobs seeding takes a pretty hard hit, much like Zerban and Dean.

There was a lot more hype around Jacob than he deserved on this board. He’s had one good NCAA tournament, and is about 12-15 wrestler otherwise.
He has the talent, so I’m hoping he turns it on in a couple weeks. But he hasn’t looked good since pre OSU dual.
You’re surprised there was hype behind a 7th place sophomore?
You can go back and read my posts on the comparison of him and Paniro. A lot of people were riding way too hard for Jacob.
Think his style works better when he's a big 41 vs being a 49. Probably can't beat ech or face off w/ his brother so it'll be interesting. Hope he can string together a big ncaa tournament.
He was more of a bully at 141. Go back and watch some of his 141 compared to this year. He rarely gets backs this year. People think he should go up on weight too.
I mean, this is a really really good tournament by many accounts outside of injuries. Jacob had two weird matches but he has put way too much hay in the barn to think he can’t get his groove back. The majority look to be peaking. That’s all you can ask right now.
What happened at the end of the Euton/Downey match? I was watching the single match with no commentators. What was the review for stalling and then all the confusion and screaming?
That ref is out of his league.
On the quad they said they were trying to figure out if it was first or second stall as well as were they in bounds.
