Well no magical run at Big 12's. So where do we end up. ESPN Bracketology has had us on the 8/9 line fir a few weeks which would send us to UCONN, UCLA, Texas or South Carolina to play another struggling Power team. Would be a tough game one and to be honest impossible game 2.

I would rather slip to the 10 seed and get shipped to the 2 seed home site. They look to be Vandy, Michigan, Iowa and LSU. Those possible 2 seed games at least give us a chance if we played well. He'll we beat Iowa this year and darn near bet that same Michigan team in the tourney last year. Potential 7 seeds would be power 5 teams that are hit or miss like us, like Washington, Illinois, Georgia or NC Stste.

Thoughts overall, I think the 10 seed gives us a better chance. Would almost like the rematch in Iowa City only because they would be pissed and Stulke is not at full strength.

Love to hear others opinions....

I don’t think it’s likely this team wins a first-round game, so I’m not going to worry about a 2nd-round matchup.

At this point who cares. Quite honestly you could make a case for them to not even be in the field.

My guess is that a play in game is in our future.

If they follow the seeding rules, a rematch against Iowa is unlikely as a 2 seed. Can’t stand Mulkey so I’d prefer not LSU. So I guess Michigan or Vandy it is. Honestly I think we’ll end up in the Play in Game, and even if we win that game don’t have the gas in the tank at this point to win a 2nd game. Clearly Addy isn’t 100% yet, and probably won’t be for the tournament. Without guards that will shoot we’re the easiest team to scheme a defense against.

As much as I hate to say it, I just want to get to the offseason at this point, hope we don’t have any significant transfers and let Addy recover for next year.

I don't see us slipped all of the way to a #10. It's not a case of just dropping us to a #10 but who do you elevate that is actually better? Colorado could be playing themselves up a spot but that would maybe bump one of the #9's.

NET vs the Creme's Seeding:
26 Washington #7
27 Alabama #6
28 Nebraska #11 Last Four In - NET outlier score, I don't think they are in.
29 Oklahoma State #8
30 Illinois #7
31 Baylor #6
32 Texas Tech #6
33 Iowa State #9
34 Villanova #8
35 Georgia #7
36 Richmond #11 Last Four In.
37 Virginia #11 Last Four In.
38 Princeton #11 Last Four In.
39 Syracuse #9

#9 Seeds:
22 USC #9
33 Iowa State #9
39 Syracuse #9
41 Virginia Tech #9

#10 Seeds:
40 Clemson #10
45 Colorado #10
50 Rhode Island #10
53 Fairfield #10

Absolutely NO WAY ISU is in a play in game. As mentioned the 8/9 slot is a second round kiss of death for any team. Impossible? No, but it would require another upset of the ages like ISU had against UConn to make our first Elite 8. That would require an exceptional game from the Sisters and mistakes from whoever the opponent is. 10 seed would def offer higher odds for an upset. Just hard to see the team dropping that far.

They do count. It counts as an NCAA Tournament appearance and in the all-time NCAA Tournament win-loss record.
Sure, the technically do, but no one gives a flying **** about the play in games. I refuse to watch.

ESPN has us three spots out of a play in game. Our record is good, but we don’t have many quality wins. The one good thing is there are a lot of other mediocre teams.
