Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

Crazy to me that the SEC and ESPN are just going to be told that the final 4 years of their contract is officially scrapped. Seems like ripe ground for a major lawsuit, but what do I know.
The thing is you’re never going to get Congress to agree on any of this to move forward with the degree of change that is being proposed. So many states major programs are Big Ten and SEC and in states like Texas and California where there is some split amongst P4 the ones in the P2 usually have much more sway or else they will split,

There just isn’t a path forward from the Fed side even if you take the proposal at face value which I don’t fully agree with but also totally understand from a Big12 ACC standpoint

That's why I asked. If this has to go through Congress, to think that U.S. Reps and Senators in states that lie within the SEC and B1G footprints are going to vote for something that lessens their strength/leverage/advantages/power is some very ambitious thinking. Lol.

I am still waiting for your response to the Louisville Trustee rebuttal to the Sankey/Petitti FTI report. It might be too long for you to comprehend and digest but give it a try.

It would provide answers to most of your questions.
I have not discussed that, and you have not asked me anything about that. That being said I have seen you be asked several times about what that same guy would say if he was a member of the B1G or SEC.

Of course he is going to say all those things, he wants to be on the inside with the B1G/SEC. That doesnt mean it is any more likely to happen because Louisville says it. I want a $billion that doesnt mean because I say so it is any more likely to happen.

As I have told you, one side says their things and quotes their studies and the other side does the same to promote their views. Thats is how this works, confirmation bias is a thing and any study that goes against ones side viewpoint is going to be buried by that side.

You know how many times and how many issues have had investigations and hearings etc in the US government in one form or another, and absolutely nothing is done about them? Let me just say... Its a lot. You know how many times the US gov has gotten involved in things far worse.. also a lot. Do you know how dysfunctional many of the gov run programs are? Very!

Im never going to sit here and hold my breath, believing the government is actually going to do something let alone actually make something better.

Its funny you expect answers to your questions, yet refuse to answer questions yourself.

But its cute how you deflect from what I stated because you have no rebuttal. Almost like when you have no answer you resort to name calling and insults.

As posted before, the so called SEC/B10 voting splits in Congress are irrelevant. Most of those states with B10/SEC schools also have multiple G5 schools that are badly in need of additional funding especially when the B10/SEC schools will also greatly benefit.

So you think U.S. Reps and Senators in Michigan will act in the best interest of the directional state universities and not Michigan and Michigan St.?

You think U.S. Reps and Senators in Georgia will act in the best interest of Georgia St. and not Georgia?

You think U.S. Reps and Senators in Alabama will act in the best interest of Troy and South Alabama and not Alabama and Auburn?

You think U.S. Reps and Senators in Ohio will act in the best interest of Ohio University and not Ohio St.?

LOL. You are truly the gift that keeps on giving. Please never stop.

Hell, I don't even trust the reps from Iowa to look out for ISU and UNI.

I think Iowa is one of the few states where you could possibly see a rep or senator vote in favor of it just because it has a very strong Big 12 school. If it were just UNI, no way. And states in like Texas and Oklahoma that have powerhouse SEC programs, there's no way that very many reps/senators vote against their interests even though they have Big 12 programs as well.

Your thinking here is typical of the narrow minded me first B10 knuckle dragger or more succinctly, Tavern Hawk.

Again, zero answers from you to some very simple yes/no questions. Lol.

And re: the Tavernhawk jab, I actually did attend and earn my degree from Iowa.

Now leave me alone so I can go change out the fryers.

Except they aren’t going to greatly benefit. Your post from the UL AD says this exact thing when reviewing the study in that the P2 already expect their media rights to double next go around without any pooling. It’s right there in the post.

Also most G5 schools have their work cut out just to stay open these days as universities on that level in general are in peril not just their football programs. if they have to cut football then so be it, the programs right now only stay even kinda afloat due to paid games from the P4 and don’t even belong in these conversations

Yeah, Iowa's reps have been bending over backwards to help UNI.

Universal in all states I'm sure

LOL, you may need to listen to today’s CW/Blum pod and their support of Cody Campbell. I don’t see how you can live with yourself continuing to post here and pay them for your bizarre usage of the Dumb emoji.
And of course none of that makes what I said untrue. Which is why you ignore it.

I use the dumb emoji on dumb things. Stop repeating the same dumb thing over and over and over if you dont want to get dumbed. No matter how many times you say 7x10 it doesnt make it any more likely to happen. No matter how many times you say the Government is going to fix things, doesnt make it realistic. No matter how many times you say everyone is going to get 2 to 3 times the revenue doesnt make it true.

You insult people on every other post, yet call others immature.

Also, saying I would like to see what Campbell is pushing happen vs actually believing it is going to happen are 2 very different things.

I have never said I am against what he is pushing, I have said he is a hypocrite, and not the savior you believe him to be, he would **** on any other school not named Texas Tech tomorrow if it benefitted him or TT. I have said that regardless of any of his ideas being good or not, does not make them any more likely they actually happen.

Point is there is a difference in agreeing, or even wanting something, and being realistic on those things actually happening.

And repeating 7x10 as many times as you can, is not going to work like clicking your ruby slippers does, no matter how much you believe it.

That's shocking, if true.

Already answered your yes/no question. You missed it (again).

And, of course, I am still waiting on your response to the Louisville Trustee rebuttal to Sankey/Petitti's FTI report.
