Song at the end?

The court storm I think there were like 3 students that came in from the one end of cyclone alley and rapidly disappeared. It was like oops my bad.

That was funny. The one guy runs all the way across the court, then looks to see that no one else is following him, so he saunters off the other end.

I saw one of the Best Security people start running the same way and thought he might grab the student, but he went right past him and helped with the tunnel tarp for the losing team.

In an odd way, it is somewhat unfortunate for our students that they don't get to experience a court-storming. They brought it for this game and deserved the credit given by TJ in the post-game interview.

I think it would be cool if there was a court storm the final game of the season simply just to celebrate with the seniors. Even if it’s a 20 point win.

Well because that the lyrics that have been adopted for it, They sing it at FB also and the refrain is always F*ck KU.
That reminds me of the Aggie War Hymn (their fight song). It's all about beating UT. Back in the day A&M called UT "Varsity", so their refrain is "saw Varsity's horns off"...

That's the difference between a court storming and a Corey storming.

Is Mizzou the only team to do it? I’ve honestly not heard any others that I know of. Mizzou doesn’t get any fans anymore anyways.
I don't remember who we were watching this weekend - we watched four or five games - but I hear Mr Brightside on at least one of them, and it wasn't Mizzou.

And some don't. AND it doesn't require having to be upset about it. Like others, I don't like it because our fans should a) enjoy FULLY the elation of victory (not some "bright side outlook amidst pain or prior - or ongoing - regrets"), and b) aspire to be "better"...better than petty differences and biases.
Have you ever been a college student at a game?

I was there Saturday for F KU, I’m all for fun let it rip but I don’t get the F KU chant post beating a way better Houston team. KU fans clowning us on social media for it and I can’t blame em. If iowa beat a top 3 team at home (not named us) and started chanting F ISU I’d clown em lol
You are concerned about KU fans on social media?

Huge "IF" but if we could change it to that it would be kind of cool. Don't see it happening though.
As a former student, there was nothing better than being several beers deep at the bars when this song came on and screaming "F KU". I say leave it

Really hate we’re doing a “F KU” chant after beating Houston, that gives little bro syndrome in the big 12. We just smacked KU why are we chanting F KU after beating a WAY better team in Houston cmon now lol
It's just a thing...multiple schools chant F KU every time the song is played...When I was in school we would chant F KU in the bars if it came on. It's just kinda part of the song at this point

Yep. I was at a wedding and the DJ played Mr Brightside. F KU took over the wedding as well. It was received with smiles by everyone in attendance ......including the grandparents of both the bride and groom.

I promise you that you are overthinking this.
Yeah honestly, I'm shocked at how deeply people analyze the lyrics to a song after a win. Makes me think the only reason people like Sweet Caroline is because it says "good times never seemed so good". Well yeah no **** they haven't, but that doesn't mean we have to play a boring song to prove it.

As someone who lives in KC and knows a lot of KU fans, there's never a wrong time to chant, "F KU".

That's the way I took as well, it's just part of the song. Kind of like with Billy Idol's, "Mony Mony" and the, "hey no way, get laid, get f'd". Nothing better at a '90s wedding than doing that chant when that song came on. It was a real Dan Band moment.

Yes, I'm old...

My personal opinion after a big time win...... Hearing 14,000 people yelling: "But it's just the price I pay, Destiny is calling me, Open up my eager eyes" is a whole heck of a lot intimidating and understandable than 14,000 people yelling. "Touching Me, Touching You....Sweet Caroline"

1st world problems in this thread.

My $.02

Sounded good on tv, and personally much better than Sweet Caroline.
Glad the court storm didnt happen. Act like we have been here. Wasnt an upset, just a great win against a top quality Big 12 opponent.

Loved the ***** chants when the Houston player took a knee after getting scraped across the face. That was clearly heard across the ESPN broadcast....
