Tang gonna Tang

does he have a go fund me for this legal fight?
Guarantee they’re probably taking this case on contingency. This is probably as close to a slam dunk as you’ll see. If it was truly for cause, you fire Tang immediately. You don’t give him a choice. With that part out there now, they’ll sue K State and Taylor for the buyout, damages for reputational harm, and fees/court costs. This is going to set them back a few years

I dont know. I saw they got at least some form of timeout, but not sure if total ban or what.
Isn’t circumventing a lifetime ban just changing email addresses? I get that us, as a community, could sus out that the same person was back, but a lifetime ban isn’t really enforceable for the strong willed, ‘surly’ type of person.

That makes me wonder. What is the longest thread in CF history? Actually, it would be cool to see a Top 10 list of the longest threads in CF history.

There's a few megathreads around for combining various things that have been around over time that'd probably be near the top.

I'd guess the longest ever were probably some of the realignment threads that got nuked because they were so big they were slowing the board down.

Wildcat was always such a generic mascot for such a proud second best program in Kansas. They're could use the money they save by firing the guy for cause to do a full rebrand:

The K-State Klownplows: We Did It for the Tang

Will be an interesting court case to follow. Assuming there is one. If there is however, he runs the risk of losing the case AND never getting another D1 coaching gig again
Do you really think he has to worry about that. Who would hire him as HC????? Iowa doesn't have a vacancy.

I have to admit I kind of love the "cause" in the "for cause" part of the firing is that people were really, really making fun of the program online.

No way Tang gets full buyout. If he sues, and wins a judgment, his lawyer gets a third. If he sues and negotiates, his lawyer gets a third. He might as well skip the lawyer and just sit down with the AD. He’s probably end up with more money.
Now do K-State's side. It's how the world works unfortunately. The lawyers always win.

Horrible look for KSU. It’s hard to argue they had cause to fire him AND were going to allow him to finish out the season. What a **** show.

*coincidentally this is cause to fire the AD.

I'm no attorney but if true and there is any significant record of this proposed arrangement, Jerome is going to get every penny of that money. This offer completely undermines any argument they would have for the reason for the immediate firing if it ever got into a court room. Incredibly foolish athletics department there.

Love seeing all of Tang's former players come out and support him getting the full 18.7 mil. You can see how fast their fans are turning on their beloved players. Their fans seem to be praying that there is some massive Tang scandal that will save them. While it is funny to see considering that a few years ago, they acted like he was the greatest thing on earth and acted like Iowa State had a spy agency in the basketball department.
