Looking for a house to rent

Anyone know of a decent 2-4 bedroom house for rent around Ames, Boone, Nevada or maybe Fort Dodge or Humboldt? Probably need at least 1.5 bathrooms also.

My lease is up at the end of March and I want to figure out where I'm gonna go before I run out of time. Would really like to be around $900/month (or less).
You are going to have to look at VERY small towns to get a grand or less in rent. My wife’s best friend is a Realtor and she said you’d have to find 1500 and less population towns to find a decent house under a grand a month, and we are in NC Iowa where it’s usually cheaper to start with.

Best of luck. We have to get out of a long term rental due to it being sold and it's a massive PITA
I hate moving and I hate landlords.
Yes, I'm crabby.
Same thing happened to me. About four years ago the market skyrocketed down here so my landlord sold his house that I had been renting for 9 years. I moved into this apartment and was paying $950 to begin with but they have jacked up the rent every year since then. I'm paying $1600 now and can't afford it.

At that price I would check out Roland, McCallsburg, Colo, Maxwell, Ellsworth. All pretty small, but should be cheaper.

I didn't know you could rent much of anything for less than $1000 a month.

How many roommates are you brining? We are looking to rent out our home that isn't selling and market looks like $2300-$2500 for a ranch home in the suburbs of DSM.

I didn't realize the renting market was that different in Ames versus DSM

You could have 3 female roommates....

Here's a duplex but I agree with others, for the rental amount it could be tough to find what you are looking for.

Here's a large house in Fort Dodge.

It's just me and my older son for now. My younger son will come stay the summers and my wife will live with me once her immigrant visa gets approved.

I was thinking about that. I was hoping to rent for 2 or 3 years so I can get my finances in order before buying a house. At this point I might just buy a $40,000 manufactured home. It's not ideal but my options are limited.
Yeah, the house inventory is really small in and around the Nevada area. I think it was even worse 2-3 years ago. Best of luck and hope it works out.
