OU/OSU duals

1. Yonger
2. Rocky
3. J Frost
4. Ech
5. Zerban
6. EFrost
7. Stevo
8. Dean
9. Euton
10. MJ

Sadly, I think we are in trouble. Just bad matchups. If Rocky doesn't go we've got no shot. If Vinny goes, I give him a better shot than others on here. Evan has to keep from getting in an early hole against Jax. If he keeps it close, he's got a shot in the 3rd.

Edit: Even though I'm least confident in MJ, his funk gives him a chance. He could swing the dual like he did against the Hawks.
You can say the same thing about OSU as they have a lot of bad match ups. Forrest and Vega both like scrambling situations. When was the last time you have seen E. Frost or AE in a true scrable…I haven’t seen any this year. Elam & Younger will dominate lesser opponents. 125, 149, 157, 174, & 184 are toss-ups and I could see all of them being decide by a TD or less.

I’m more concerned with crowd influencing the calls. Hopefully, the reffing is consistent. If it is, I feel good with ISU’s chances.

The difference with Forrest is, it seems like he creates the scrambling situations.

The referee will be influenced by the crowd. We might as well expect that, it always happens in Stillwater.

Frost got in several scrambles with Ayala.

How much do you think Ortega helps with this matchup with Forrest? I really think it’ll be close between them.

125: OSU 3-0
133: OSU 6-0
141: ISU 6-3
149: Isu 6-6
157: ISU 9-6 (healthy zerban?)
165: OSU 9-9
174: OSU 12-9
184: OSU 15-9
197: ISU 15-12
285: ISU 15-15

If zerban is healthy I think he can get this. And if the right MJ shows up, vs Iowa MJ, I think he could funk his way into a win here. Definitely need to win at least one of 125-141 to get this done.

And won those scrambles
I stand corrected. I just rewatched it and had forgot how close Ayala was to scoring at the end of the 2nd period due to a short scramble. Other than that Frost controlled the action on the other scrambles. He will really have to time his shots and stay low to finish so Forrest can’t roll and get Frost leg.

He does about as well as anyone on the team at taking his time, shelfing the leg and posting ankles/wrists.
