The defensive effort all game is maddening

This is the biggest disappointment for me. Missing shots happens. Completely losing focus on defense and appearing to have a lack of effort is frustrating.

We had to lose eventually, getting smacked by a super mediocre KU team stinks but all good. If they lose to Cincy or look awful to start the game I’ll panic. Jefferson needs to stop the hero ball **** he’s been doing, he’s great but outside of WVU pretty mid as of late

Jefferson is either the most exciting guy to watch or just irritating to watch and never anything in between. Tonight he was the latter.

I’m interested to see how this team responds to an absolute embarrassment. The media loved us and now they will be laughing at us for getting molested. If this team is tough they won’t **** around against Cincy like they have been doing. Maybe this was what was needed and maybe the guys were being cocky and arrogant, just expecting to win without giving a full effort.

When we were rolling for a 7-8 game stretch, the guys were hitting shots at a very high rate...we do that, it opens up everything else. Since then, we've been a bit sloppy with the turnovers and we haven't been as hot from the field. I think the defense has been really good. But the slow start to games has to be figured out.
