How much more in taxes would it cost to raise an additional 10 million for each of the state universities per tax paying person.

How about we just end the ethanol subsidies and use that money for the Universities instead. Time to start supporting public properties/education instead and make private companies actually have to participate in capitalism without welfare. It would easily cover the $10m for the 3 public unis.

This, lottery, sports betting tax, increased taxes by 75 cents, donating kidneys, selling beer in the stadium and controlling sales of alcohol outside in the tail gate lots.

All of that equals multiple national titles and millions of dollars.

For the RFIP, sure. Add in the retailer tax credits for E15 and E85 that stations get to sell those fuels which is up to $0.16 per gallon.

CB | Keyon Washington – Bowling Green cornerback Keyon Washington gets an Iowa State offer. As a redshirt freshman in 2025, Washington had 37 tackles, two TFL, a sack, and three pass breakups. He also has an offer from USF and Central Florida.

LB | Monteze Smith – Iowa State offers Austin Peay linebacker Montreze Smith. As a redshirt freshman in 2025, Smith had 74 tackles, 8.5 TFL, four sacks and three interceptions. With a redshirt year at Duke in 2024, he has three years of eligibility remaining.

Both dudes just completed their RS-fr years, too. Awesome

I say double the sports betting tax, that would pull about 20MM more. Split it 40/40/20 ISU/iowa/uni. So 8/8/4. It would go a decent ways of helping out.

Ya, if you believe in equity, ISU should get more cuz B10 has more $$ so to make it more equitable, more to ISU to give them a larger stepping stool.

I’m less concerned about kids from schools other than Washington State. My understanding is that many of those WSU kids were on campus on Friday and Saturday and obviously a selling point has been the WSU defense from last year. It’s not panic, but being a bit concerned Isn’t uncalled for.

Are people really worried about not getting the Washington State guys? They've all probably told the staff they're coming, it just hasn't been publicly announced yet.

I understand at least 1 or 2 of the staff's Wazzu targets have already announced that they re-signed at WSU instead. In that case, I'm glad we didn't overpay out of panic for a familiar face (CMC might be doing just that at PSU right now but he has more money to do it with).

Pair that with the flood of Cyclones announcing their PSU commits today, the understanding that all the Wazzu targets were in Ames this weekend, and an expectation that the Wazzu guys should move with the same speed.

I want to see the announcements too.
