We are at the point where our AA candidate is in single digits late, a starting guard has no points and we’re still rolling a conference opponent.

Another thing is the the line was closer to the basket for these guys. It is tougher now.Nurse’s second year he shot 42%.
Hoibergs best was 45%.
Sullivan’s 47% (low 40s for his career).
McGee’s senior year 49%
Williughbys senior year 45%
I’m not sure people totally understand how rare it is to be above 50%
Not that it really matters but didn’t the three point line move back after some of the aforementioned players?Yeah I was deep diving our guys stats a few weeks ago. Better than 43% is very rare. Way more guys putting up 39-42% seasons or stringing together a career of them.
I’d love him to stay at 55%, but anywhere near 50% is sick given level of competition.
Good point to beWe are at the point where our AA candidate is in single digits late, a starting guard has no points and we’re still rolling a conference opponent.
I find myself easily distracted or zoning out of games like this, just because I have no doubt in the outcome.
Otz has spoiled us.
"The NCAA adopted the three-point line in the 1986-87 season, initially at 19 feet, 9 inches, after several conferences experimented with it, with the Southern Conference being first in 1980-81. It was moved back to 20 feet, 9 inches for the 2008-09 season and then to its current distance of 22 feet, 1 ¾ inches (international distance) for the 2019-20 men's season and 2021-22 women's season, significantly impacting spacing and strategy."Not that it really matters but didn’t the three point line move back after some of the aforementioned players?
We are at the point where we’re playing games to get JJ the triple-double in a conference game.We are at the point where our AA candidate is in single digits late, a starting guard has no points and we’re still rolling a conference opponent.
Love that our entire crowd knows JJ needs one more dime for a triple double
