***2026 Minnesota Vikings***

Beat the Packers next week and this team finishes with a winning record on the year. That would be pretty remarkable considering the way this year has gone.

Finishing 9-8 with the leagues worst QB play is insane. Get a veteran QB in here that can run KOCs offense and I think we can run back 2024 regular season again.

It’s pretty crazy how quickly windows close in the NFL. Not that Detroit can’t be back next year, but they seemed like they were going to be contenders for a while yet.

Like Sam Darnold?
Would’ve been tough given their cap space and only having like a total cap hit of like $6.5 m total in the QB room.

Probably a bit of overreaction but Darnold was so horrible vs Detroit and the Rams to end last season they were probably gunshy. It also seems like the number being thrown out was bigger than what Darnold ended up with at Seattle.

Had more to do with Ben Johnson than anything else. Everyone always down plays who is calling the plays on offense and defense.

I’m being a little bit facetious, but sure looks like KOC put all his eggs in one basket with Nine.

I think you raise a good point about Darnold’s last two games. Does seem like a bit of an overreaction in retrospect

Every Viking fan wanted Darnold gone after those two games. We are probably all regretting that now.

Don't be surprised if Jefferson asks to be traded in the off season. He has 2 TDs this year and might not reach 1,000 yards. He's the best WR in the league and has terrible numbers because of awful QB play. He has a lot of drops, but McCarthy throwing unnecessary fastballs is partially to blame.

He has to be insanely frustrated. Such a waste of talent.

His big contract certainly softens the blow but he’s not going to be that patient for long.

I imagine that breaking records and putting up big stats is important to someone that good. Maybe not, but if I were putting up those huge numbers I would want to keep that going to prove I was one of the best to ever play the game.

Agree. The money helps but it probably follows their desire to compete and play at a high level. He’s also young enough he’s already thinking about the next contract (as he should).

I watch Detroit for ONE reason.
Yawl know what I'm talking about.
