Troy Davis '95

a couple of those clips were from 1994. I took my new girlfriend, now wife, to the Rice game and that was Troy's breakout game. 75 yards in the first half, then no carries in the second half

I noticed that as well, besides the obvious CU kickoff return.

Anyone else notice the mid-field emblem in one of the shots? The old ISC circle emblem.

One thing you'll notice in those highlights is his offensive line did a great job opening up holes for Davis to explode through too. For as much as he made guys miss or broke a tackle he got a full head of steam on a lot of those runs.

It was a great combination of a great RB and very good/great OL. Loney has said multiple times how good the OL was those 2 years.

That kickoff return vs. Colorado when he was a freshman was electric. Watching those clips he was faster than I remembered.

The OL seemed quite good and TD was amazing, yet the team was not.

In addition to the shoulder pads, notice how all the players are wearing pants (with thigh and knee pads) instead of above the knee shorts we see today.

My favorite TD play was vs. UNLV in 1995. It was 3rd and 20 or something like that. My buddy asked me what ISU should do. I said: "Give it Troy and see what happens." So, handoff to Troy and Touchdown! We still laugh about that.
