***2026 Minnesota Vikings***

Dante Culpepper...blows knee out. Never the same.
Teddy Bridgewater...damn near loses his leg back-peddling. Never the same.
Christian Ponder...Never any good.
JJ McCarthy...soft as cotton candy and can't stay healthy.
This franchise is snake-bitten. Some of it their own doing. Some of it bad luck. Either way...they can't seem to do right when it comes to the QB position.

Why has Dart thrown only 13 passes, the few I have seen they have been short, bad shoulder?

Agree he looks off. That last one with the PI call was about 3 yards short and not a long throw at all.

Hard to believe, but there's actually a young QB worse than JJM..... it's Jackson Dart.

Expand that to cover the twins and I don’t know how you can assume Minneapolis wasn’t built on an Indian burial ground.

Giants played like they wanted to make sure they maintained that 1st pick. Weird gameplan, offensively they just threw in the towel

J.J. is like glass. The best ability is availability and he is useless standing on the sideline in sweats. Vikes have to make a move at QB this offseason. Cannot just rely on J.J. again. And that doesn't even factor in his play.

Ideally we win out without JJM. They’ve already blown the opportunity for a Top 5 pick. Might as well demonstrate enough proof of concept in the rest of the product and find a QB
Going back to the strip sack TD quick for a bit. In real time, I didn't catch that it was a screen to the left and that's why someone from outside right came in untouched (I think maybe it was actually Jones' block...? otherwise, I don't really know what he contributed to that play). I thought at first it was just a whiffed assignment by O'Neill that JJM will get blamed for, now I realize it actually is at least mostly on him for not bailing out of the screen. Throw it away and move on.

That kind of thing is fixable for a young QB. In-game theory and reacting to defenses can be taught and refined. However, for JJM specifically, I'm just too worried that the poor throwing mechanics and frequent rocket balls cannot be fixed. There is not a long list of NFL starters who couldn't throw effectively day one who flipped into great throwers later on. That's not nearly as coachable, that's a talent issue.

Dart is in a true rookie season, on a **** show team that has an in-season coaching change. And he’s averaged about 180 yds/game and had 13:5 Int:TD.

McCarthy is on a team that was 14-2 with most of the rest of the offense intact, and a stable, well regarded coaching staff. He’s averaged 160 yds/gm with 11:12 TD:Int.

McCarthy has been pretty solid the last couple weeks. But Dart has been better on the whole in a far worse situation.

So.... the Vikings spent $350 million on free agents this year and ZERO players made the pro bowl.

Good job, Kwesi!

Oh, BTW Kwesi.... your starting QB is out again.

Dart looks more like a polished NFL QB right now than Jmac. I imagine the Vikings go out and sign or trade for a veteran QB this offseason to compete(and likely win) the starting job over Jmac. He just still needs alot of work and is injury prone right now.
