Didn’t give much away, but I’m ok with thatTrailer was a snore-fest in my humble opinion, reminded me of an Iowa MBB home game.
Are you worried about spoilers for a 3000-year-old story?Didn’t give much away, but I’m ok with that
I was wondering how long this movie will be and was hoping it wasn't going to skimp on length. Sounds like it's not. Apparently it will be around 200 minutes.
Me too. If you can't fit it in 150 minutes or less just give me a mini-series. Chances are I would watch a movie like this in 2 sittings when I watch it at home anyways.I absolutely hate this trend. 0% chance I watch this in theaters now.

Correct. Not sure what that has to do with my post but you have identified the name correctly. It's The Odyssey
I guess I am completely opposite. This is a MASSIVE undertaking. Making it even 2.5 hours will seem rushed. Which would be absolutely stupid in my opinion. Many agree with you though and will watch it from home which is great. For something this big though...i'm doing IMAX.I absolutely hate this trend. 0% chance I watch this in theaters now.
His point is it's a saga. The director is making it how he wants to make it on a massive scale. You aren't someone that wants to sit thought it, and that's fine.Correct. Not sure what that has to do with my post but you have identified the name correctly.
Then compressing it all into even 3:20 isn't going to do the story justice. Make two films or even more. There is enough story to support that. His point is it's a saga. I may go to see this because its sword and sandel stuff which I love, but it is asking a lot for anyone to sit 3 plus hours in a movie theater with no breaks. It really starts to sour the experience towards the end for myself and many others. For this kind of story I do prefer the mini-series now which allows for the story to breathe more and doesn't make it feel like some kind of endurance challenge, especially now that studios are willing to put huge budgets into mini-series. I enjoy watching big spectacles on IMAX but the length of some of these doesn't make it worth it IMO.His point is it's a saga. The director is making it how he wants to make it on a massive scale. You should probably send a note to Nolan with your concerns. Then compressing it all into even 3:20 isn't going to do the story justice. Make two films or even more. There is enough story to support that.
Who said there are no breaks? Pretty sure I read it will have an intermission.I may go to see this because its sword and sandel stuff which I love, but it is asking a lot for anyone to sit 3 plus hours in a movie theater with no breaks.
