Ohio St/Lehigh Predictions

I would be happy with a win but also could see Ohio State walking away with a decent gap.

About 6 (maybe 7) matches are straight up 50/50 flips. 125, 133, 149, 157, 165 & 184. I think 141 easily leans OSU, 197/285 leans Iowa State.

If Dresser & Co. want to win, they're going to need Elam & Bastida to win and probably a bonus point somewhere in the six 50/50 matches.

The question will be, do we see ducks? I think Mendez will come out regardless but we have already seen Dresser not wrestle a couple of the guys in the CKLV finals, do we see it again?
Wow another “duck” theory on why ISU never wrestled 141 & 157 at CK. Zerban had a knee brace in class last Tuesday and we saw Frost in lots of pain during the semis but ok keep dishing Dresser for “ducking” tough competition.

I wasn't referring to Dresser ducking - I was referring to Ohio State. Odds are, someone is going to duck. Always seems to happen in the first semester.

Some teams definitely duck to preserve seeding, but Dresser has never been that style. If guys are held out, they usually have a nagging injury. Dresser has said this year that they will be smarter with injuries too (burned from last year) and wants to make sure everyone is healthy for March. Especially with Zerban, if he is dinged up as an older guy, I am fine with resting him. He has shown high AA potential so far this year, and his style generally puts him in funky positions that can be harmful to knees. I hope we see everyone Sunday since it is a great opportunity to show what we have against the #2 team, but at the same time I want to see our guys healthy and ready to go for March

I said last year that Cornell would not duck, but they shocked me in Nashville and I believe now that they ducked at several weights. I was proven dead wrong. But I do not believe that Dresser has never been that guy, and the MFFs at CKLV were obviously due to some guys hurting with nothing to gain as individuals or as a team that called to throw those guys out on the mat. I have been pleasantly surprised that Rocky has wrestled as many matches as he has, being on a 'pitch count' but apparently he feels great, and Dresser lets the boys wrestle when they are ready to go.

Would be great to hit them at full strength, but need guys as healed up as they can for the stretch run.

Interesting Paniro isn’t listed.
What is the max you can weigh in for a match? If it is 14 then you have to make it work for both duals and one weigh in…..odds of having to sit someone (Rocky one match?) and also moving guys around if an injury happens in the first match.

If Paniro was able to wrestle he would have replaced Naak as he could wrestle 149 or 157.

Probably a good chance Dresser puts in some backups for Lehigh to keep some guys fresh.

I bet Osmany or Ech could bump up to 149, if needed, but I hope J. Frosty is all healed up and rolls in both duals.
