Sherrone Moore Fired

Thanks. Sorry buddy. These bowl games are indeed meaningless. Hence why the players didn’t want to play
IN 1969, LSU was (9-1), ranked # 10 and looked to be in-line for a Cotton Bowl berth opposite #01 (10-0) Texas. At the last minute, Notre Dame decided to end their non-Bowl participation since their one and only appearance in the 1925 Rose Bowl (with the Four Horsemen). When that happened, the Cotton Bowl invited Notre Dame which was even more desirable then than now.

Meanwhile, LSU was extended a bid to the Gator Bowl, but the LSU team voted to not go for the same reason ND is not Bowling this year. Crushed, despondent, bitter, etc. Meanwhile, Alabama (6-4) was invited to the Liberty Bowl to play Colorado (7-3) for the same reasons that 6 and 7 win teams Bowl now and generally enjoy going. Not much has changed actually.

Kind of ironic about the full circle with Notre Dame (8-1-1) and ranked # 05 ending their Bowl drought in 1969 and deciding to not Bowl in 2025 with an excellent (10-2) team that was shunned much like LSU (9-1) from the Cotton in 1969.

And in 1969 there were only 11 bowl games. There are 41 this year. Making a bowl game actually meant something back in 1969

I did. You actually tried to say the Fiesta Bowl from 2020 is as meaningful as a potential Texas Bowl game for 2025

That’s hilarious
So in the playoff picture that everyone says is the only thing that matters today... how did the Fiesta Bowl in 2020 matter any more than a Texas, Liberty, Alamo etc bowl today? We won that game, didnt have any chance at a National Championship, just like any bowl outside the playoff this year. If the only thing that matters is the championship, the playoff, then in 2020 the Fiesta bowl didnt matter either.

I am saying bowls matter for many reasons. I am just saying your excuse is because a bow is not the playoff, according to your reason, the Fiesta bowl didnt matter then, because it was not the playoff/championship at that time either.

And Yes I did say why bowls still matter, in several ways, several times, but you choose to ignore it.

Because the same game IS a playoff game this year. A NY6 bowl game is VERY DIFFERENT than say the motor city bowl game

Yep, and LSU (9-1) declined the Gator Bowl in 1969 for the exact same reason that Notre Dame declined the Pop-Tarts Bowl this season. They were both pissed.

Interesting, that's not what happened with a friend of mine. They just took her gun, took it apart, gave it to me (even though I said I didn't want it), asked her if she was going to be ok and then left.
Dang, that surprises me. Honestly I had what I described to a brother in law. Sadly, he did end up committing suicide 6 months later though.

There are no freaking coaches to coach whatever players are left.

Yep. That’s been my point. But apparently some here think Heacock should still coach these players for a bowl game

Who the **** is coaching Wazzu in their bowl?
How about Ol Miss in the Playoff?
What about PSU in theirs?
How about Michigan?

Heacock is still there, Hell I even gave photographic proof, though you claim he is already in Happy Valley, and according to Blum and Brend he doesnt even have a spot on PSU staff yet!

Christ Im done arguing. Everyone else figures out how to still fulfill their obligations when their coach leaves. But we cant cuz we mad, maybe there should be some grown ups in the room that tells these people they dont quit!

Finally. Sorry players didn’t want to continue their season. Maybe accept it

Fortunate not to have dealt with it directly, but certainly have heard of people being put on 72 hour holds a few times. Was the situation you described more than a few years ago or in a really small town?

Edit: I see you clarified it was WDM

At least he was a gentleman and got the plan B for her. But Christ you’re the head football coach at Michigan. Don’t DoorDash plan
A superintendent of our school was having an affair and sent her flowers. To keep it a secret he called a nearby town florist. That florist promptly called the florist in our town to deliver it. Within 2 minutes after the first call, the whole town knew.

Threatening suicide is a crime?
It really depends here, is he arrested or detained, I have heard both.

There could be several things here from, threats, and domestic violence etc charges/arrest.

Or they could be detaining him on a 72 hour Mental hold. Many times if someone threatens suicide they are detained and held on a 72 hour hold for their safety and evaluation if they need to be committed etc. I know people that this very thing happened to.
