I honestly don't have words...

Gotta stay healthy. Jefferson most critical followed by Lipsey. Love to see lipsey's minutes managed all season so he isn't out by March.

Its not my senior season and I know Lipsey pours everything he has into this team. With that said, after the Iowa game, I am thinking long and hard about taking the rest of December to sit and get back to 100% prior to conference play. Take 3 weeks to get healthy. After Iowa, we play a bunch of cupcakes in December.

Heise is kicking in.
Memory fails, but wasn't he a guy that put in some seriously
"sneaky" contributions last year?

Haven't been able to see much live action.
Batemon (sp) so far?

Limiting Stirtz is the key to beating Iowa right now.
Our baseline defense is basically optimized wreak havoc on teams that rely on a guard as their best player.
Also, more so than Purdue, they have no answer for Jefferson and Milan, and Stirtz can’t foul

Is it just me or have there been way more blowouts this year than normal?

Edit: Across the country, not just by us
Speculation is talent in NCAA is more NBA like in that every mistake gets scored on and can turn into an avalanche if you get a couple

Like in NBA teams can take turns blowing each other out in back to back nights

It will be interesting to see how many teams we jump in the rankings. We should be ahead of all the one loss teams, but how will they rank us versus the other undefeated teams.

I think 4th. We jump Houston and byu. Louisville and Michigan State lost. We beat Purdue. That gets us 5th. Then it's whether the voters like us more than media-darling uConn. I don't think we go above any of Arizona, Duke, or Michigan - all of which have really good resumes too.

Logic says that when you're undefeated, have the largest average margin of victory in the nation, and blow out the #1 team in the nation on their home floor, you should be ranked #1.

However, when you're a preseason pick to finish 5th in your conference, you're not gonna get the benefit of the doubt among many AP voters and your climb up the poll is a lot slower.

I'm expecting us to be ranked #5.

Heise was always doing a lot last year, the threes just wouldn't fall so some CFers thought that meant he should be benched because that's their only qualifier and they act like ISU has 7 guards waiting around to come off the bench and do better.

The threes started falling toward the end of the season so they finally 'saw the light'.

I'm guessing they try to get JJ and Toure in foul trouble to neutralize things.

I’m guessing he was wanting to suit up, I loved his ability to hit absolute dagger 3s late in games
Mike Nurse was hit the year before. He was healthy for the year we lost to Drake. I was at that Drake game, Horton and Tinsely had really bad games. I think the player we didn't have was Martin Rancik. He wasn't a starter. Fizer, S. Johnson, Tinsely, Nurse, and Horton were the starters. Hockens was the guard back up and Shirley and Rancik backed up the front line. Both Shirely and Rancik had injuries that year.
