Let's list the unintended benefits of Matt going to PSU

What's great about this thread is there is no guarantee any of this will change. I will be glad to have Matt's pointy elbows gone.

In all seriousness Matt's actual game management left a lot to be desired. Hopefully we can get a major upgrade in that department.

Going thru the "will he stay or will he go" after every season. As a fan who wanted him to stay it just got old. The way the talking heads talked down about our program as if he should leave was too much too. That cloud created by the media is gone for a little while.

Again qualifying that we’re still learning about Rogers. But he doesn’t seem like the kind of coach that speaks in platitudes.

If Rogers has success, its going to be the same.

If he's sucessfull this is still going to happen.

Agree here. **** you Kirk Herbstreit.
That will happen with any ISU football coach that is successful, I think some of the big names were actually cooling on "oh he is leaving", it was the smaller talking heads now that know nothing about ISU that threw that crap out.

I'm left wondering what I would've considered to be the perfect epitaph of CMC's era here at ISU. No matter how I sliced, the repercussions were always the same. Ok, in short of turning us into a Blue-blood, every other option still leaves the cupboard in worse shape. God fore-bid we get another Criner or Duncan. All-in-all, I think we're in for some exciting years ahead of us. I like a 6-6 P5 NIL era first year record. I like a TJ endorsement on meticulousness. I like an enthusiastic coach. I like an AD that continues to find creative ways to stretch our budget. I'll be glued to the set to see his opening strategies (e.g. coach retention, player retention, fan engagement, organization, etc).
