I want Iowa State vs. Penn State to make up for missing out on the 2001 Alamo (when PSU dropped the chalupa to UVA), and for "reasons"!
I'd rather whatever staff we have work on getting a team together for next year than a bowl prep for a game we'd probably lose anyway.
What fans would go to that game? It'd be such a weird awkward affair, half the team and staff gone.
I bet the AD goes through with it though for whatever $ we get from it.

If we’re going to go to a bowl, let’s just go full Replacements- advertise in the Daily and hold open tryouts and see what happens. If we win, it’s epic, if we lose then it’s not like we didn’t see that coming after what’s happened today.
But in general, I agree- let the new staff focus on next year and trying to cobble together a team rather than preparing for a bowl game that likely very few ISU fans will attend.

Well, his one Bowl Win was over Minnesota in Arizona, so I will allow it! / sarcasm
I believe Penn is keeping their DC, so he may be just going as an advisor, or something. Might not be crazy for him to stick around a few more weeks.
