***2025-26 CFB Coaching Carousel***

I hope kiffin fails miserably to drive home how stupid college sports have become.

So what if kiffin year 4 has done no better than Kelly. Kelly went 10 wins. 10 wins, 9 wins and got fired in the middle of year 4 .

LSU going to pay 50+M for Kelly to walk away
LSU pays 4M to buy out kiffin
LSU pays kiffin 15-20 million a year over 7 years and once he doesn’t perform they just do this all over again.

At this pace college coaches are gonna get $30 million a year in 10 years.

Can’t wait to learn what LSU will be paying Kiffin to leave in 4 years.

Yep, prob another 50-100M. Then kiffin will find another place like Nebraska or equivalent to do it again. Just an insane cycle really.

Imagine if they could just pay all this to players? I could probably win the sec as a coach at that point

Or maybe feed or educate a kid or two since Louisiana is about the worst state ever in every category

Campbell would have to decide if he wants to take Becht, Hansen, Burkle, Brahmer,… to a completely new situation for their senior years, all while getting his own bearings and with the expectation that the program mostly pick up where it left off when Franklin was fired. That may sound sappy/Little League, but Campbell cares deeply about development and culture built on player character and commitment. I lean towards that being unlikely, but time will tell

He probably would just entrust them to Jason Candle and let them finish their careers at ISU.
