***2025-26 CFB Coaching Carousel***

Exactly, whole thing is ****** stupid.

I know Kiffin is a good coach but his accomplishments this season are a little overblown. The combined conference records of his SEC opponents is 22-42. The win at Oklahoma is solid but that's really his one good win.

Lane gone and threatening to take Ole Miss players if he isn’t allowed to coach Ole Miss in the playoff is peak stupidity of this sport.

Let’s say this does happen. Wouldn’t that be good for the Big12 and BYU since the CFP has already set the precedent players who can’t play effect entry into the CFP? I recall several years ago when FSU lost their QB in the ACC championship game, despite winning, and getting kicked out of the CFP for just losing their start QB. Losing who knows how many starters would surely kick Ole Miss out.

If true, then I'll be very surprised if Ole Miss lets him anywhere near their facilities or football team.

Also, if this costs Ole Miss a playoff spot a la the 2023 Florida State Seminoles (who were deemed unviable after their QB went down), then I'd have to believe the SEC would be pissed about a non-playoff conference team knocking out a legitimate contender because of this drama.

He’s 100% a drama factory, but don’t underestimate the job he’s done there. Ole Miss is not the easiest place to win at compared to their peers and this 4 year stretch has been as good as any they’ve ever had other than under the coach the stadium is named after down there.

That Ole Miss reporter that called Kiffin a "hoe" is 100000% spot on.

I just wish the reporter wouldn't have **** himself when Kiffin confronted him.

Ole Miss isn’t going to let him coach in the playoff, which is a level of irony usually seen in fables or novels. Kiffin—who’s open about his goal to win a national title—may walk away from a playoff team in his effort to win one

Those rules would be ignored if it might negatively affect an $EC school.

Remember how quickly the "we don't have a 12th data point" excuse got 86ed?

Playoff Committee gon' Playoff Committee. Eye test baby!!!

In no way shape or form should Ole Miss allow Kiffin to coach the playoff after he takes the LSU job.

Agreed. It sounds like he’s threatening to purge Ole Miss players through the portal. This is putting the Ole Miss AD in a hard spot as they have a good team to compete for a title and want to retain the team. On the other hand, how focused is Kiffin going to be in coaching Ole Miss and not getting LSU ready.

While this doesn’t really affect me or ISU, this could be the event that breaks the camels back and move the portal season out of bowl season.

The AD needs to record the conversation as proof of tampering.

Let’s call a spade a spade - this is about the money and prestige more than winning. Because he can win at Ole Miss as proven by this year.
