Next year is the year if we are going to win the conference. Should have 5 conference home games, tons of guys back with a 4 year starter at qb. Never going to get a better shot than that.
Kids today don’t understand how hard we used to suck on it.
The last win in Stillwater was 2018 when Purdy replaced Noland after the first series of the game.
The difference between 8-4 and 9-3 feels massive. At first I believed we had definitely 2, maybe 3 wins left out there this season. Taking a step back, getting all 3 of @*KSU, Iowa and @TCU was a plus win. I see that offsets one of the losses to @CU and ASU, with the other being one we definitely should have had back.
The CU loss should have never happened.
The Arizona win was when we peaked health-wise, and it showed that game. They ended 9-3.
Having the attrition we had after & getting to 8-4 is not too shabby. Colorado game though, oof, that's a tough one to swallow. The others we did the best we could without a lot of our main guys.
The young DBs got valuable experience & made plays. Taylor, Patterson, Surges - made a lot of plays & showed growth. Tre Bell played well & became a leader on the field. Neal led the way & is a dawg, as is Big Citrus (or course). LBs played more downhill, but man did we get hit here with injuries again, too. Keep this team together & get some good additions and we are poised for another Big 12 title run.

It’s meaningless now. They take maybe 5 calls, none of which discuss anything that actually happened in the game (and one is always Cyclone Jerry rambling about whatever). It’s almost zero actual football analysis or breaking down what happened during the game
Yeah, we pounded the rock and were slightly better in almost every stat. Slightly better in everything EXCEPT running. We crushed that.
Don't ever, ever say that again.
I know ESPN has a ton of games but feels like they just throw crap announcers, crap production, and crap preparation for most games not on ABC or main ESPN.
Contrast that to TNT. They aren’t perfect but they make the game feel so much more big time even if the teams aren’t that good. Our game today felt like a JV high school broadcast with announcers calling us the wrong name, mispronouncing names, camera people not following the ball, the score ribbon was wrong several times, etc, etc.
ESPN+ glitching occasionslly but not surprisingly in 2025 is all you need to know about the quality of that company's product in general.
Tre Bell has had some really good plays and some very bad plays this season.
Sowell, Flora, and Becht were also hit and miss all season.
I would open the QB competition. Rocco is the #10 rated QB in the big 12.
