I refuse to penalize a good player for being good. I for one am excited Audi had the best single game point total in Iowa State history. Iowa State has played plenty of poor opponents over the last 50 years.

Not what I expected when I opened this thread. We really do know how to ruin a good time.
Not just a good player being good but she's an outstanding person. Truly is one of the most likeable people I've ever met before evem considering her being an athlete.

We won by 47. I wish our 3 pt shooting and free throws were better, but Iowa State out performed the predictive spread.

I was actually thinking she didn’t look like she felt well at least in the first half.
Audi took 23 shots in 20 minutes. It's an interesting discussion, but I want ISU to use these early season opponents to get everyone ready for conference play, when we might need another player to step up and make a shot with a game on the line. Tonight Jackson played 20 minutes and was 0-2. Hare played 18 minutes and was 0-4. Paulk played 17 minutes and had one field goal attempt. Sydney Harris shot 1 for 5. Will we need those four players to score more than five points collectively when we play Baylor or TCU? If yes, then maybe we should run a play or two for them to find their stroke(s). Just a thought.
I'm with @brentblum on this one. There was plenty else that happened in this game. Audi was just on fire and there's no shame in having a video game stats kind of night for her.

Fair enough. I’m of the opinion that Iowa State knows enough of what it has that a game against Valpo is a data point relative to practice and other games to come. I’m not for penalizing Audi because they chose to defend her that way.

Well if you look at minutes played maybe the fact is they didn't find their stroke tonight. Audi getting 40+ in 20 minutes is the exception not the rule, the team shot like poop the 1st qtr I'm glad we had some one that could hit a shot.
I agree 1000%. Audi should not have scored 40 plus points. Just like Troy Davis should not been able to run for over 2000 yards twice. Once he hit 200 yards we should only passed the ball the rest of the game. How does that sound?
