Gosh, if only there were a forum for talking about instate rivals, so the rest of us didn’t have to put up with it.

Because I can tell what the posts are before opening it?Pretty simple solution of not clicking on the thread.
Because I can tell what the posts are before opening it?
Ummmmm…just how stupid are you?
Serious question. Especially since the actual simple solution is talking about Iowa IN THEIR FORUM.
Sheesh. I’m embarassed that some fellow Cyclones are so dense.
They were just "waving" and the beer cans slipped out of their hands.Throwing beer cans at people is one of their favorite traditions.
I’ve heard us boo our team. That's funny. Have heard them boo their quarterback and team?
Really? I never have.I’ve heard us boo our team.
Really? I never have.
Can u give specfics?
Or open up the empty seats to students.I continue to be frustrated by the fact that the people in the south endzone, including the Sukup Club, and the public corners don't stomp their feet. The metal flooring is perfect for making tons of sound. I remember hearing Ben Bruns talk about it. Especially, when the opposing team has the ball on that end, we should make it "the most intimidating place in college football."
Come on, south endzoners. STOMP YOUR FEET.
P.S. The AD could make it happen quickly if they would just add a STOMP YOUR FEET slide for occasions when the opposing team has the ball on the south end.
You could not be more wrong. Kinnick is obnoxious.Since 2018, I have been on the sidelines taking pictures for 27 P4 games between Ames, Iowa City, and Madison. What I have seen this year has convinced me that we are still little brother. Why do I say that? The fans.
Kinnick is far and away a louder and tougher environment to play than Jack Trice. "But JustBecause, its because their stadium is set up better for sound." You would not be wrong in saying that. The pictures below highlight the differences in spacing between the field and the fans at both locations. The fans in Kinnick are considerably closer. There are as many as 13 rows of fans behind the other teams bench before our first row.

But thats not what I am talking about. The 1st half of the BYU game was the first game this season, where fans were loud the whole time. And then the fans quit. We had a 4 point lead and it took 3rd down and the PA announcer to get people to stand up and make noise. Kinnick is loud even when they are on offense and they shouldnt be. With the exception of a couple of endzone sections, they stand the entire game.
I saw a number of people on twitter calling out the south endzone for only being partially full during the game and for good reason.
However the East side isnt much better:

Add in the West side of the stadium sitting on their hands most of the game and there you have it.
"But JustBecause, the team is playing poorly and they arent giving us anything to cheer about." No. Its our jobs as fans to create the environment and help them even when they are down. The first half of BYU showed what difference the crowd can make with 2 false starts in a row. In the second half, we were ahead by 4 points and couldnt be bothered to make noise outside of 3rd down. Its sad really.
Start with not calling ISU Little Brother in the title, on the football forum, with 7 chapters about Iowa being a better home field, with pictures, in the midst of a 4 game losing streak.
Kinnick is obnoxious.
2023. It was at home.Really? I never have.
Can u give specfics?
Ok, hotshots.2023. It was at home.
Also a dude in Ohio yelled “you’re on the hot seat” at CMC that same season.
I can’t remember a time where we boo’d players. We have boo’d the refs many times and we occasionally boo’d coaches decision to kick but I don’t remember ever hearing a player get boo’d.Ok, hotshots.
An occasional *******, whatever.
I am talking about 30,000 people booing. All of your regional competitors (Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, etc.) totally understanding that iowa fans are asshats.
There is zero chance Iowa gets into the CFP. Zero.Iowa state was in the big 12 championship game last year, and Iowa won't be (probably wasn't going to anyway with IU and tOSU ranks) and they were trying to sneak into playoffs. They lost to Oregon, but might still sneak in. ISU got blown out by cam skataboo otherwise would have made the playoffs. Coulda shoulda woulda but I'm not sure Iowa will make it in, they play USC and a good Neb. team. Not seeing it. So Iowa still lost to us 2 years in a row in close ones and none have been in the playoffs and ISU most recently was in the conf. ship game even though Iowa plays in a week division. Do you like apples?
Well duh. There is zero chance Iowa gets into the CFP. Zero.
Lol well there seemed to be some questioning of whether or not Iowa could or not.Well duh.
There was talk about it, but they would have had to win out basically, that was my point in the OG post. They will lose to either USC or Neb or both. There is zero chance Iowa gets into the CFP. Zero.
Who talked about it?There was talk about it, but they would have had to win out basically, that was my point in the OG post. They will lose to either USC or Neb or both.
