Great win but going for 2 in the first quarter?

I have no problem with it. After years of Tom Manning and other incredibly vanilla offenses, I’ll take what Mouser is dishing out. If it had worked people would be thrilled

Mouser notoriously loves the 2 point conversion. He did the same thing earlier this season (was it Arky state?).

I didn’t have much issue with going for 2 but JFC does Mouser need to get a little more creative with the playcall. Scheming to overload a side with blockers and running your QB (or Brahmer) on a power run play to the edge can’t be your only playcall.

Does anyone know if we’re down to one of our OL as our kicker again? Because if Konrardy or Smith were able to kick yesterday, then this kinda stupid crap needs to flat out stop.

We can’t even do the basic things right half the time, and we spend valuable practice time on this BS?

“…. well we lineup in this goofy formation, and if the numbers are right, then we just snap it to Brahmer and he runs it in…. it’s genius!”.

No it’s not, it’s stupid! Just like being in shotgun when you need a yard! This simple game doesn’t need to be made more difficult than it is.

We did it against Arizona and everyone thought it was a genius call.
I think like then it was a reflection of how shaky our kicking game is due to injury. We did it then to get ahead of the curve and then kicked the rest of the game knowing a missed PAT wouldn't kill us. It didn't work out this game as well as we didn't make the first, but going 1 of 3 2 pt attempts all game was no worse than 2-3 on PATs. I'm guessing the coaches liked the odds of 2 pt conversions over perfection on PATs with injury problems. I just wish we would dump the fake and just line up and go with our offense every time.

It was a horrible call and we were fighting it the whole rest of the way having to go for two, etc. It could have cost us the game. Thankful it didn't. I like his aggressiveness to a certain point, but there have been some real head scratchers all year.

We can only hope coach Mouser will take your vast football knowledge into consideration and heed your advice next time.

Not a play call that I liked for sure, but I think the staff was looking for a spark somewhere.
Yep. I thought going for two after the first TD and making it in the Arizona game really set the tone in that game. Either way, at least, it worked out nicely yesterday!

I'm sure we have someone on the roster who can kick an extra point. It seems like sometime our staff is trying to outthink the game.
Coaches cost themselves 4 points in the first half trying to be cute when the situation did not call for it at all. We were in FG range when they called the brahmer to Rocco trick play
