I think she should start just for her size. Williams, Jackson and Hare make our lineup small.

Iowa played their starters 61% of the minutes against Southern, Iowa State played theirs 63%.

We have 3 obvious starters but to me the other 2 starting spots are up for grabs. Harris, Paulk and Beatty all could see starts.

Multiple guards can create their own shot. Jada is the real deal. Beatty is damn good and I think having Williams as a mentor can be huge.
They actually rotate on defense to cover Audis weaknesses, which I don’t remember seeing at all the last 2 years.
Offense doesn’t just stand at the three point line waiting for something to happen.
I love our returners, I love our starters, but I’m also really damn excited to see Paulk and Beatty grow. Those two have some serious untapped potential to be stars.

Listened to 2nd quarter after seeing a 14-14 game. Is the best we can get for play by play is Larry Morgan? My god is he a brutal listen.
A couple times I thought he must have been watching another game.
I've been waiting a LONG time to see Cyclone guards get into that FT line area and pull up with a short 2-pt jumper and make it. Both JW and RB did that many times tonight. That has been my major complaint with Coach Fen's teams in the past - our guards rarely shoot those shots, yet other teams have hurt us with that type of game. Case in point tonight: AJ, in the 1st quarter, drives past her girl and is wide open for a short jumper in the lane & she elects to pass it out. Needless to say, we did NOT score on that possession. She may not have made the shot but, man, if you don't take that easy shot, you need to sit on the bench (and I LOVE AJ!). Passing up, or not seeking, shots like that has seemed to be missing from our game plans for the past decade (at least it seems like it). SO, kudos to JW and RB - keep it up!!
Kinda a herky jerky game on offense, but Southern did a decent job of using their athleticism to trouble us.
If Brown had kept playing she probably ends with a a triple double. Crooks eventually dominated.
