Here's a quick look at the three teams the Sisters play in the upcoming week.

Looks like Southern may be good enough to give em a real game. Some of these exhibition games have had some absurd scores. Like UCONN & SC & LSU. Geezus LSU won their two games by 120 & 80. When you're beating teams by an average of 100 points you are either super good or they are horrifically bad. I'm sure it was some of both.

The one LSU beat by 100 wasn’t good…even at their own level. The other was a good NAIA squad. But they are NAIA…

Stephanie Soares came to ISU from an NAIA school.

Rick Mahorn and Dennis Rodman from the 1980's "bully" Pistons squads were both NAIA products.

Dennis Rodman later joined Scottie Pippen, another NAIA alum, on the Bulls dynasty team.

Isn't your (former?) employer, Graceland, NAIA?

I've always thought NAIA competition was decent, probably the equivalent of NCAA Division II. My HS football coach a million years ago played at William Penn, so he was an advocate and I found it interesting...

Yes…I was at Graceland. There are individuals who make the step up, but it’s rare. Here's two Graceland examples. In the 70’s we had a player (and friend of mine) named Ian Davies. He was a star on some average Graceland teams and went on to star on the Australian Olympic team and played pro down under. One great talent didn’t make the team great…merely good at the NAIA level. Other example is wrestler Brennan Swafford who won two national titles for GU. Dominated NAIA and then transferred to Iowa where he was just “average” at the D1 level. Each level you go up from NAIA, Div III, Div II and Div I is often huge.
