He would be. Did you want to pay him $14mill+ coming into this season though? No but Daniel Jones would have been nice.
That’s the stuff you see when you get a D1 receiver in an Iowa high school football game.wow - you give them that much cushion and you still let them run by you.
That one bugged me a lot. If you're sending the whole house, you better be jamming the line too. Putting 1:1 with 10 yards of cushion there is the freest of free yards.wow - you give them that much cushion and you still let them run by you.
Kwesi had a choice between keeping Darnold, Jones, or signing Rodgers. I wanted Jones. Here we are. Spent millions to fix the O line and it’s worse. Kwesi needs to go.The Vikings QB situation is inexcusable. Wentz is terrible and JJ is injury prone and looks like a deer in headlights.
GM has to take the heat for this predicament.
They actually did try to keep Jones -- supposedly he walked out of MIN to be the guaranteed starter in IND.Kwesi had a choice between keeping Darnold, Jones, or signing Rodgers. I wanted Jones. Here we are. Spent millions to fix the O line and it’s worse. Kwesi needs to go.
He wanted to know if he had a chance to compete for the starting job in Minnesota. He was told he didn’t.They actually did try to keep Jones -- supposedly he walked out of MIN to be the guaranteed starter in IND.
Yeah, the McCarthy is the guy no matter what belief cost them 2 starters that are having career years and got them stuck with Carson Wentz. He wanted to know if he had a chance to compete for the starting job in Minnesota. He was told he didn’t.
The Wilfs signed Kwesi to extension this year. The crap starts at the top and goes from there.Kwesi had a choice between keeping Darnold, Jones, or signing Rodgers. I wanted Jones. Here we are. Spent millions to fix the O line and it’s worse. Kwesi needs to go.
I'd bet that Kwesi didn't make that call -- KOC the QB Whisperer did. GM's aren't throwing QBs at coaches and telling them to make it work, the coaches are telling the GMs what they want in their offense. He wanted to know if he had a chance to compete for the starting job in Minnesota. He was told he didn’t.
So you’re saying KOC is the one who wanted to draft McCarthy too then I guess.I'd bet that Kwesi didn't make that call -- KOC the QB Whisperer did. GM's aren't throwing QBs at coaches and telling them to make it work, the coaches are telling the GMs what they want in their offense.
To KOC's credit, in this scenario, he has tried to do the right thing: put his drafted QB out to see if he's got it not. Then he got hurt for 5 weeks before really answering that question to any meaningful depth, so... now you're stuck in a ****** place.
Wentz was not signed to be a long-term starter for this team. He was never supposed to see the field. His job was to be a vet presence in the practice facility and on the sideline.
Yeah, I am. That's extremely likely to be the case. That, or something along the lines of "here is the list of guys we can afford in this draft one way or another, take your pick".So you’re saying KOC is the one who wanted to draft McCarthy too then I guess.
This is all well and good, but Cincinnati shows you what that means when your O line is getting him killed. Our O-Line is hurt at the moment. Even if they were totally healthy, you still. need. a. Franchise. Quarterback.
They’ve put out a couple draft videos over the last couple years and KOC and Kwesi are always sitting next to each other discussing picks. Whichever one made the final call, KOC was 100% a strong voice in it.So you’re saying KOC is the one who wanted to draft McCarthy too then I guess.
