you only run that play in that situation if you think you can't power your way 1/2 yard to get a potential game-tying TD... and that says a lot about FSU.
honestly it probably was a TD at the end, just not good enough angles to overturn the call on the field. this game really needed the acc command center feed.
I’m sorry, but shouldn’t we be punishing Alabama for getting rolled by this Florida State team? And by extension, the whole SEC? Isn’t that how this works?
I really don’t think so. If somehow the big 12 exploded I think we would have got a Big Ten invite to be honest.
Direct from JP… a big 10 invite was never happening. We were headed to big east if it imploded.
Iowa…. still the fake ID of college football. It’s SO funny every year watching their fans and homer media actually believing that they are any good at all.
They have NOTHING they can hang their hat on at all this year as far as evidence that they are any good whatsoever, and yet tomorrow at work there will be all kinds of talk around the water cooler about making the playoffs. The most delusional fan base in the country every year.
Last year Dochterman was saying playoffs or bust before the year…. omg…. just stop. You can’t even beat ISU like 3 out of the last 4 years…. or is it the last 4 of 5 now…. I can’t even keep track of our dominance over them anymore!

I thought all along that Penn State was the team that they matched up with the best for a mild upset, and that was before they lost their starting QB and Franklin was canned. This will be their last decent team, looking at their 2 deep, they are starting something like 8 guys on offense that are seniors and another 7 on defense. They also lose their place kicker, snapper and return guy. Now they can plug in players from the portal, but without doing that, next year there is no reason with what ISU has returning that we should not beat them again in IC.
Funny they are acting like they beat Alabama when they squeaked by an 0-4 team. They haven’t beaten anyone this year that has a conference win. That’s pretty wild
Because Alabama was Super Ass that day! Totally out coached, out played, out cheered, out motivated, out everything-ed that day. They were pants-ed.
That was one of the three worst opening games I remember as an Alabama fan. Luckily, I didn't see it, as I was at the South Dakota @ Iowa State game that day.
The other two were in 1975 vs. Mizzou @ Legion Field (watched on TV) and 2000 @ UCLA (attended).
The 1975 team (w/ Coach Bryant) licked their wounds, rebounded nicely, won the SEC and beat Penn State in the Sugar Bowl to finish (11-1).
The 2000 team basically quit on their coach (Mike DuBose) and finished (3-8) for their worst season since 1957 (2-7-1) in the final year of the ill fated J.B. "Ears" Whitworth Error. DuBose shared the same fate as "Ears".
Glad to see that the 2025 team is channeling the 1975 team instead of the 2000 team. Yikes! Just realized, this appears to be an every 25 year thing! Not sure who they will open again in 2050, but take the other team on the money line

If Iowa losing to a 5-2 ISU team is a bad loss, its going to be hard to find a good victory considering that the three EIU conference wins are all against teams with a losing records at 3-4, 3-4 and 2-5.
